American Jews typically associate Shavuot with the Book of Ruth, late-night Torah study sessions and eating at least one generous helping of cheesecake.
The holiday of Shavout/Vows is a celebration commemorating the giving of the Torah 3500 years ago – fifty days after the Jewish People gained freedom and became a nation. The Cabala relates this event as a marriage between the Creator, the husband and the Jewish People, the bride.
In a Jewish wedding, the man gives something of worth to the woman and the woman gives herself to the man; at the giving of the Torah, God gave the Jewish People the Ten Commandments and the Jewish People gave themselves to God – promising to fulfill the 613 Commandments inscribed in the Torah.
Every year at this time the Torah is given anew and the vows are rekindled. Shavout concludes what began the first night of Passover 50 days earlier; both holidays happened at night – the greatest light comes out of the darkness. The two days of Shavout are prefaced by the Shabbot.
This three day holiday is mirrored by the Memorial Day weekend celebrating those who fought for freedom. The Talmud-Book of Law writes, There is no freedom without Torah. The freedom of choice given to the human being is, how to use our freedom, to pursue money or pursue truth?

THE CABALA OF SCHMUCK
Bill Clinton just out-Clinton'd himself – posing with two famous porn stars in Monaco in a Monte Carlo casino for a special Nights in Monaco gala event; several celebrities were in attendance and a whole bunch of porn stars.
Once a Schmuck always a Schmuck, but a presidential Schmuck beats them all. Clinton defines Schmuckness by his Schmucky excuse – I did it because I could, referring to his blow job in the Oval Office in the White House while being President of the United States. A real Schmuck.
For those not hip to the term, a Schmuck is one who uses sexuality for purposes other than sexual; pornography and prostitution use sex to make money but they are not Scmucks because they are open about their activities; a real Schmuck is a sexual hypocrite, like Clinton.
The Cabala explains, sexuality can be used to acquire spiritual power by performing sexual acts for that purpose – Clinton taking a Jewish woman in the Oval Office was commiserate with the wicked Titis, after destroying the Temple, taking a prostitute in the Holy of Holies.

In response to US ire and a pledge to assist a Pakistani doctor charged with treason for helping the US capture Osama bin Laden, the Pakistani foreign ministry called on the US to respect its legal process.
According to the Torah, that divides the obligation of the world to the Creator into 613 Commandments to the Jewish People and the Seven Commandments of the Children of Noah, Pakistan is correct, because having courts of law is one of the Seven Commandments given to the nations.
America transgressed the sovereign law of a state to kill one very bad man and in doing so sacrificed another man now sentenced to 33 years in prison, for the sake of expediency. Though no one can lament this bad man’s deserved death, one travesty has led to another.
The Talmud-Book of Law says, Sin draws more sin. The Zohar-Book of Secret speaks about BaLaden who is a dog, not even human – now that he is dead there is no chance to capture and interrogate this monster. On wonders, if there were not other considerations and hidden agendas at play?

Forty-three Roman Catholic dioceses, schools and social service agencies filed lawsuits in 12 federal courts on Monday, challenging the Obama administration’s rule that their employees receive coverage for contraception in their health insurance policies.
According to the rules of the Cabala, when particulars come together in a whole, an extra number can be added – making 42 to be 43. The number 42 called Mob is directly related to the planet Mars to whom Rome prays. Mars is known for his strength and for living by the sword.
The 42nd president of the US presided over the 2000th anniversary of Rome and three years later at 2003 began what was to be 100 year war; the Hebrew year was 6763 – 63 is the number related to the animal essence. The animal derives from Mars, but man was formed on Earth.

Yesterday, Jerusalem Day, marked the 1967 reunification of the city under Jewish rule brought protests from all sides; the reunification caused the Temple Mount returned to Jewish hands for the first time since the Romans razed the holy site 1900 years ago.
This 45 year anniversary has cabalistic inferences; the number 45 is one of the four numbers implicit in the YHVH and is the gematria of Adom/Human; 45 is also the gematria of Mah/What – a question amplified by the political forces that have infringed on God’s territory.
The Temple Mount was purchased by Dovid 3000 years ago; Dovid was the first Jewish king in the line of kings leading to Moshiach – Dovid was chosen for his lack of politics and his devotion to God. Now, the travesty of politics has invaded even to the Temple Mount without resolution.
The Zohar-Book of Secret predicts, In the end the tribe of Reuben will return to Israel, take over the land, make war on their neighbors and terrorize the world – they will win but they will not remain because they came for the wrong reason. Politics is antithetical to God.
The only reason for the Jewish People to go to Israel is to respect the land by performing the 613 Commandments, many of which can only be done on the land. The word Jerusalem means: Complete Fear – not the fear of war nor the fear of nations, but the fear of God.

All politics and all political donations should remain local; twenty-two states are taking a stand in a case in which Montana is asking that the Supreme Court’s controversial Citizens United ruling not be used to strike down state-level campaign-financing restrictions.
In a divisive decision a few years ago, the Supreme Court sanctioned the use of outside money to decide local elections, overturning decades of precedent. In the ongoing fight to make ideology more important than governance, the people’s institutions have been the big losers.
An ideology can not be completely correct because times change and new situations require different solutions. America was founded on a coalition of ideas vying for dominance according to the reality of the moment – eventually this process was distilled down into Democrat and Republican.
The Democrats represented the demographics while the Republican’s view is of the republic. The shifting historical times brought different segments to power when needed. There is a Torah term for this process called ZeVZe Divre Elohim Chaim/Both are words of God.
This somewhat clumsy process has been replaced with the more expedient divide and conquer – resulting in the loss of, One person one vote. According to the Cabala, intentions are more important than action – the intention of these outside groups are to breed contempt amid the populous.
