Lincoln and the Slaves

Michael Steele who became the Republican Party's first African-American to chair the RNC turned to Abraham Lincoln saying, "We must be a party that makes good on the promise of Lincoln.”

Two black men, each the head of their national party both esteem and honor the man who broke slavery in America. Slavery in the Torah requires the slave owner to teach the slave and not be cruel to the slave; people sometimes sold themselves for slaves to help support their family—today we would call that Corporate America.

In Hebrew the word Eved/Slave is the same as the word Eved/Worker. The Jewish People became a nation when they came out of slavery in Mitzriam/Egypt. The Cabala says, the lower we descend the higher we rise

The freed slave has risen to the head and has shown humility and grace in acknowledging with respect he who broke slavery in our country.

The Power of the Purse—888

WASHINGTON — A group of conservative Senate Republicans vowed Thursday to vote against an $888 billion economic stimulus package when it comes up for a vote in the Senate.

The 666, the 777 and the 888 are all significant numbers in the Torah/Teaching. The number 666 has to do with sexuality as seen in their sum 18 which written out in Hebrew makes the word Chai/Life. The 777 is the number signifying death as lamented by Lemech seventh generation from Kine; Kine killed his brother Hevel and was slain by accident seven generations later by Lemech who says he is the 777 and God makes him into the Angel of Death as related in the Midrash-Book of Metaphor. The number 888 is indicative of a moment—the Talmud-Book of Law teaches a moment is 1,888 part of a second. Eight is also known in many cultures as indicating infinity.

The significance of all this to the budget is unclear, but interesting. In the Cabala eight is indicative of Keter/Crown the place where essence resides in the form of Pleasure and Will. To truly fix a problem one must go to the source and affect the essence.

The Cross and the Rabbi

The Rabbinical Council of America said in a statement referring to the participation of three rabbis in a church where the cross was displayed during the inauguration of the President “The long-standing policy of the RCA, in accordance with Jewish law, is that participation in a prayer service held in a sanctuary of a church is prohibited,”

The Jewish problem with the church is the cross; the cross is a symbol in the Cabala of the previous world known as Tohu/Chaos where the seven lower attributes of the Ten Sefirot line up one behind the other beneath the triangle of the head forming the image of the cross and also of the serpent.
