World Hungry

The UN's annual report on global food security confirms that more than one billion people–a sixth of the world's population–are undernourished. The FAO says Asia and the Pacific has the largest number of hungry people-642 million-followed by Sub-Saharan Africa with 265 million.

The number six in Torah is symbolized by the letter Vav know as the letter of truth is also the sixth letter of the 22 letter Hebrew alphabet. The importance of six is reinforced by the statement in the Torah adding the letter Hey/5 which is used as a preface for The–The Sixth Day.

The world is presently in the thousand years of history related to the sixth day of creation which the Cabala connects to the power of sexuality called Yesod/Foundation, built on the world Sod/Secret. It is during this time 770 years into this final millennium before the thousand years of peace begins that sexuality is being defined.

The essential components of sexuality is pleasure and will the two chaotic powers of the soul called Keter/Crown; chaos is beyond reason which is one reason why poor people have many children besides the instinct to survive–the truth of six is: every human being has the right to eat and those with food have the responsibility to feed.

Though the Torah contains 613 Commandments, Ztadeka/Charity includes them all therefore the letter Hey/is added to make HaMitzvah/The Commandment.

Thirteen

According to the Washington Post, President Barack Obama is dispatching an additional 13,000 US troops to Afghanistan.

Afghanistan became a country after 1300 years into the Islam calendar; thirteen is also the half way point in the Mayan calendar which will be reached in winter equinox of 2012–in Hebrew 13 is the gematria, the numeric value of the word Echud/One.

Some suggest that it would have been better to have let the Russians with their brutal ways wipe out the ancient tribal peoples who cling to a strictly vicious interpretation of the Koran, but the recurrence of the number 13 tells a different story.

The purpose of the human being is to bring light into the world and make the world a better place–it is a common human value. Our commonality is a sign from the Creator of Heaven and Earth that in essence we are Echud/One and as the world evolves into the light it is important to remember that our purpose is to turn the darkness into light–not to try to destroy what is dark.

It is for this reason that the Jewish People were commanded in the Torah to live together with the ancient Palestinians a fierce people, the first to forge weapons out of iron.

Out of the darkness comes the greatest light.

Bob Does Bezerkeley

Bob Dylan returned to Berkeley, California where he played one of his first electric shows with the Hawks more than four decades ago.

The Rambam compiler of Jewish Law 1000 years ago says that if a person wants to become wise they should chose a profession they like and do it for many years–wisdom will come. The meticulous arranging of music and his steadfast devotion to his songs which he articulated in his special manner was a memorable feast.

In the time of the Second Temple the generations leading up to composing of the Talmud-Book of Law written 2000 years ago there were always two leaders of the people; one leader was close to the Rabbis and the other was close to the people–one was smart and the other clever.

American also has two leaders, one who is brilliant in his mind and actions, our beloved president and the other is Bob who for fifty years has captivated our hearts. The Cabala explains how the head is connected to the heart through the vehicle of the third eye called Dot/Knowing; knowing is the experience of life, to stand at the feet of a master and marvel.

At the end of the concert it seemed as if Bob wanted to say something, but we could not stop applauding so he turned and left.

A Gay Party

Thousands of gay and lesbian activists converged Sunday for a march from the White House to the Capitol, demanding that President Barack Obama keep his promises to push for civil rights protections from the federal government.

The Torah whose name is derived from Mora/Teacher has been renamed Testament by those who proclaim homosexuality an abomination before God–both are wrong. The Torah is not a testament that can not be questioned because the Torah is not based in dogma.

The Laws of the Torah are specifically designed to correspond to the 613 Commandments given to the Jewish People 3700 years ago; the peoples of the world can learn from these commandments and accompanying laws, but they are not obligated–and even within Torah, which is the strictest of laws, homosexuality is only prohibited from men and not woman.

Sexuality, beyond the pleasure aspect, is a deep communication between two beings inspired by love. In the Talmud-Book of Law is written that if honey was put into the spice burned daily in the Temple in Jerusalem the smell would be so pungent no one could stand up; so they ask: why don’t we put honey in the spices? The Rabbis answer, because God said, no.

The Cabala teaches that the inner part of the human body is made of 613 components and if one would open that should be closed or if one would close that should be open–the body would die.

Peace Prize

NYT–The choice of Barack Obama on Friday as the recipient of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, less than nine months into his eventful presidency, was an unexpected honor that elicited praise and puzzlement around the globe.

The Cabala describes two types of light called Mali/Filling and Sovev/Surrounding; the light that fills is felt and seen, but the light that surrounds has a effect from afar–it is the surrounding light which gives us hope.

People criticize the choice of President Obama for the Nobel Peace Prize because he has yet to do anything but promise hope; they do not recognize the great light this man has brought into the world by ascending to the presidency of America–when the promise of hope became a reality.

As we enter the decade of 70 in the Hebrew calendar denoted by the letter Ayin/Eye with the gematria of the year 5770 that of The House of Moshiach can be understood that the human being, the Hebrew calendar begins from the first human being on planet earth, that each of the 6 billion human beings has become vessel for Moshiach. The Talmud-Book of Law notes that God will dwell within each of them–the Cabala adds in each person.

Some are seeing the new light while other must adjust their vision. God bless our president.

Final Holiday

Simchat Torah means “Rejoicing in the Torah,” it is the time when the Torah both ends and begins again–a circle that never ends.

The three weeks of holidays ends tonight with the final celebration which brings the New Year down to the ground through dancing. After the prayers of Rosh HaShana/New Year, the fasting and repentance of Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement comprising the ten days of Malchut/Royalty followed by four days representing the YHVH the Four Letter Name of God leading to the seven days of Succot when the 70 nations of the world make peace with Yisroel/Israel comes the final holiday–Shemini Atzerit/Eight Conclusion.

Eight in Torah signifies infinity; it is why at the end of the seventh day, the Shabbot, when approaching the eight reverts back to the beginning thus starting the new week. Eight also relates to the surrounding aspect known in Cabala as Keter/Crown representing Will and Pleasure the two essences of the soul.

The 22 days of holidays and celebration are related to the the 22 letters of the Hebrew language which were given to Yaakov/Yisroel–Israel whose name can be rearranged to read Rosh Li/My Head; it is in the head where the sperm is born through the third eye attached to the soul–The Cabala explains how on the this eight day a drop of celestial sperm comes into the world to conceive the New Year.

The chromosome is also made of 22.

More War

After two weeks of mounting tension and sporadic clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinian protesters, a showdown is expected when Friday prayers are called on the Temple Mount at the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem's old city.

The First Temple built by Dovid and Shlomo 3000 years ago on the Temple Mount lasted 410 years before destroyed by Nebecanezar of Babylon; the Temple was built to be a place of peace where all nations could assemble before God; tomorrow is the last of the seven days of Succot during which 70 added sacrifices happened in the Temple representing the 70 nations of the world.

The sacrifices were not some barbaric exercise in ignorance, but a real gesture of understanding to the Creator that the intention of the entire world is to subjugate our animal nature and sacrifice ourselves to making creation a better place for all.

The huge stone altar on which the sacrifices took place had to be hewn without the use metal because metal is the implement of war. Shlomo who was very wised showed to builders a worm that was able to cleave the stone–it is called the Shamir. The mammoth stones of the Temple wall were each set back one inch so the wall would not appear to be falling and thus cause sudden terror.

Tomorrow, the last day of Succot is known as HaShana Raba/Great Salvation. May it be so!
