The Jewish People

A new survey reported in the Boston Review has concluded "A strikingly high 24.6 percent of Americans blamed 'the Jews'" - for the financial crisis - "a moderate amount or more, and 38.4 percent attributed at least some level of blame to the group."

After almost 4000 years the world wide Jewish population is around 14 million in a world of over six billion, yet this tiny minority wheels huge influence. In both the past and present American administrations Jews have played a major role in forming policy at the highest level.

Millennium of Torah study and adherence to the 613 Commandments have bred a people whose DND is brimming with ancient knowledge, high standards and the insatiable desire to bring about world peace as the Torah predicts. The Jewish People push the world to do more and the world pushes back with fear and accusation since the Jewish People are so clandestine in their ways.

It states in the Talmud-Book of Law that if the world saw what great light the Jewish People bring into the world they would surround the Land of Israel with armies to insure the safety of the Jewish People; The Midrash-Book of Metaphor states that the world needs the Jewish People like the earth needs the wind.

The Jewish People have an obligation to live up to these high hopes and it is understandable that the world will find fault with the Jewish People when things turn down.

  1. It bothers me that people would blame 'the jews', as though they were an entity rather than individual people. The same people that 'blame' are the ones TRULY responsible!
