Autism Redefined

The American Psychiatric Association updates the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders includes combining current diagnoses for autism and Asperger’s Syndrome into a single diagnostic label– Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The difficulty with defining autism is the inability for doctors and clinicians to come up with a common denominator that is applicable to all of the diverse manners of manifestations of this disorder. What is considered a disorder is really just another type of human being that is not in the majority, but that is changing.

It is a long standing prophesy from the Torah that at the End of Days new souls will be born into the world because Moshiach can not arrive until all souls prepared for this world since the beginning of creation arrive. These new souls lack genetic memory and see the world from the spiritual perspective–this is the common link within autism.

At present, society is trying to integrate the autistic into the workplace exploiting their narrow bandwidth of activity, but that is also going to change. Where now the autistic must try to fit themselves into society in the near future, society will be force to adapt to the autistic because of the strength of their numbers and the youth.

Autism is the link between the physical and spiritual worlds.
