The unsightly piece of technology, which everyone uses but no one seems to think much about, is in desperate need of an overhaul, according to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which launched a challenge to, Reinvent the toilet.
The Talmud-Book of Law while discussing the the virtues of good, asks: What is a good thing? Some say, The Torah; others say, Woman; but they all agree that a good thing is a toilet. There is a whole chapter called MeHomatu/Who Died, detailing the nature of shit.
Shit is the composite of ingested foods that have no place in the body; but, to life on a lower level, shit is food. The Midrash-Book of Metaphor says, The dregs of heaven are delivered to the earth as celestial shit – known as natural treasures, like the Great Tetons.
The law is, When shit erodes enough to become dirt it is no longer shit. Life is an erosion of shit because a lot of shit happens during life. Life is also like water; if enough life pours through the person, it is possible for the shit to be washed away.
When the person does bad shit they go to their clergy who precede to absolved and cast sin away in the toilet of religion. No question, a new kind of toilet is needed. Better, as the Torah commands, To turn the bitter into sweet through the merits of one's actions.
