Where is Home

June 8, 2010

Longtime White House scribe Helen Thomas fired after declaring that Jews should "get the hell out of Palestine" and go back to Germany and Poland.

There is no Hell and there is no Palestine, but there are anti-Semites; the Zohar-Book of Secret says, the eyes and ears are open to the world, but the mouth works only from free will. What is hidden in the heart is revealed through the mouth.

Helen Thomas said what many people think-the Jewish People are not indigenous to the Middle East, which is not true. Though Palestinians are not Arab they are on the most part Muslim. Billions of Muslims against 15 million Jews, half of which are in Israel.

In the long history of the Middle East there was never a Palestine; 2000 years ago after destroying the Temple in Jerusalem and scattering the Jewish People into the diaspora Rome changed the name of Israel to Palestine in remembrance to our ancient enemy–but, it was only in name and never in governance.

Ignorant intellectuals like Helen Thomas muddy the waters. The Jewish People have a genetic fingerprint and it is not from Europe. If the Arab People would accept the Jewish People as brother there would be no problem in sharing the Middle East and no need for violence.

Extremism Breeds Extremism

NYT JERUSALEM—In a blunt and belligerent speech on his first day as Israel’s new foreign minister, the hawkish nationalist Avigdor Lieberman declared Wednesday that “those who wish for peace should prepare for war” and that Israel was not obligated by understandings on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict reached at an American-sponsored peace conference in late 2007.

I received this letter from a friend today: Early this afternoon an Arab Terrorist attacked children in the center of the yishuv. Shlomo Nativ, 14, was killed by ax blows to his head, and another boy, Yair (ben Michal) Gamliel was injured. His father, Ofer Gamliel, btw, is in prison for an unsuccessful attack against arabs.

Our son Chaim, on the rapid response team, received an alert that an attack had taken place and that the arab(s) had run off in a certain direction. He gave chase on his motorcycle and on an overgrown track seriously banged a foot, managing to continue on bike and later on foot into the arab village and capture a suspect. Only afterward, about 15 minutes ago, he was taken by ambulance to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital for x-rays, etc.
The funeral is this afternoon at 5.

The No State Solution

Javier Solana, foreign policy chief for the European Union, said in Brussels on Monday that the group would reconsider its relationship with Israel if it did not remain committed to establishing a Palestinian state.

Whether called Israel or Palestine the implacable truth is this little piece of land at the end of the Mediterranean Sea is called Eretz Kodesh/Holy Land and is also called the Promised Land for the promise God gave to Avraham concerning the land 4000 years ago.

The Promised Land, like the Chosen People have both been misunderstood; both ideas have to do more with the spirit than with the substance. The land is established with exact borders to inform the Jewish People where the entire 613 Commandments can be accomplished—many of the commandments have to do with the Temple in Jerusalem or the planting and harvesting of the land within the borders.

The idea of a state, Jewish or Palestinian, is repugnant to God. The only way for peace to exist within the Semitic Peoples, Arab and Jewish, is through our books the Torah and the Koran.

Middle East Consensus

The only real consensus about the Middle East comes from the previous heads of state, Carter, Clinton, Bush and Blair all who are pushing to divide Israel in two—a Jewish and Palestinian State. Their vision of peace is clouded with politics, lies and exploitations and their solution is antithetical to what is written in the Torah and the Koran.

Eretz Yisroel/Land of Israel is different from other lands in the world in that many of the 613 Commandments to the Jewish People can only be accomplished on the land, like letting the land rest every seven years or not eating from the fruit of a tree for the first three years.

Holiness throughout the world is connected with the idea of One—One God, One People and the unity that comes about through true peace. There is a solution to the Jewish-Arab crisis in the Holy Land and it is called brotherhood between the only two Semitic Peoples in the world—Arab and Jewish. We need not go back to the 1967 borders, but back to the system and wisdom of the Torah and the Koran.
