The Dog in the White House

The incoming presidential pup is slated to debut at the White House later today. Bo was named after Bo Diddley the great blues musician of fifties.

In Hebrew Dog is Calev a word made from two words: Col/All, Lev/Heart; it is a common cliché that dog is man’s best friend. In Perek Shira a compilations of verses attributed to animal souls, quotes the dog as saying (Tihilim/Psalms 95/6) Come prostrate, and bend the knee before God who made us.

The Torah is adamant that all of creation is alive and speaks before the Creator, most are regulated by their nature and speak only what is in their mouths to speak, but the human being has what the cabalists call the 22 movements of the mouth which corresponds to the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

The ability to speak, to articulate thoughts from the endless possibilities hidden within the mind fed by the soul, is what makes us elevates us beyond our fellow creatures. Perhaps the importance of having a dog in the White House is to deliver the message to the President, bow the knees Barack in Hebrew means Knees) and remember who created us.

God and the Law

President Obama had authorized the use of force if Capt. Richard Phillips was believed to be in danger, so U.S. snipers fired when the pirates aimed an automatic rifle at their hostage.

In the Torah is written the laws of the Rodef/Chaser and the Nedef/Chased—the obligation on the witnesses is to stop the Chaser at any cost even if it requires killing him. The Torah is concerned with justifying killing prior to inquiry, in this case it was more than chasing it was kidnapping.

In the Torah there are delineated three types of Law: Chuckim—laws that have no apparent reason; Adut—laws from witnessed events; Mishpot—laws of an obvious nature. The reason why these obvious laws are written into the Torah is to encourage humanity not only to do what is right out of logic, but also right before God.

As is seen in nature God created a devouring world, but the human being is distinguished through our premeditated thoughts melding justice with compassion.

Christians without Crosses

JERUSALEM (AP) — Christians prayed at an ancient church and sang in a garden outside the walls of Jerusalem's Old City as they marked Easter Sunday in the city where they believe Jesus was crucified and resurrected.

The Easter story is the worse blood libel ever perpetuated against a people—there is not even one substantiated piece of evidence that this gruesome story ever happened. Great historians like Josephus, Pliny and Philo write in great detail about this time period, but not one word about Jesus or the cross. In the end the story of Jesus and the cross is as fictitious as the eggs produced by the Easter bunny.

According to recent studies at the University of Jerusalem this story has been the cause of hundreds of millions Jewish deaths. If Christians wish to meld together with the other spiritual traditions that scatter the earth they must relinquish the cross, the Easter story plus the promise of Hell and Armageddon.

A world-wide inquiry into the credibility of this story has produced not one thread of evidence rendering this horrible story a hate crime against the Jewish People and all peoples.

Passover and Easter

Canarsie Courier:The springtime holidays for Jews and Catholics — Passover and Easter — occur simultaneously this year. Despite being a quirk of the Hebrew and Gregorian calendars, these celebrations bring to mind the principal themes of renewal and hope.

The reason why these two holidays always fall close to one another is because even though the Roman calendar is affixed according to the sun, for this holiday they use the moon which regulates the Hebrew calendar.

The difference in the sun and the moon is significant. The sun is always on while the moon is in constant flux; similarly these two peoples have reflected the sun and the moon—the Roman Empire after 2000 years of rule is beginning to set while the Jewish People have wandered the earth constantly adapting.

The holiday of Passover celebrates the birth of the Jewish nation and going forth in freedom to serve the will of the Creator bringing forth Moshiach, while Christianity celebrates the cruel crucifixion of their savior.

There is nothing even remotely similar between Passover and Easter.

Passover in White House

President Obama and a collection of guests celebrated Passover Thursday evening with what White House officials believe to be the first Passover Seder dinner hosted by an American president.

Have a black family in the White House celebrating the Jewish Passover which commemorates breaking the bonds of slavery 3500 years ago is a beautiful metaphor. The metaphor speaks to a higher truth that can not be articulated, but by a picture.

For the Jewish People Passover is the historical point when the people became a nation and fifty days later received the Torah. The counting of the Omer during these seven weeks separates between the servitude of man in Egypt to the servitude of God through the Torah/Teaching.

The Cabala introduces the idea of the seven emotions which require purification during this time—the first day is known as Chesed Shaba Chesed/Kindness of Kindness—a good day for the Presidential Seder.

Torah Central

From the time the Torah was received by Moshe on the mountain named Sinai/Hatred it was divided into weekly sections finishing the Torah each year—that practice continues until today. Today’s portion in the Torah, which is also the first day of Passover, begins with Drash-Drash two words denoting inquiry. Between these two words is the center of the words in the Torah; tomorrow the center of the Torah letters is denoted by a large letter Nun/50 in the world Nachus/Serpent. Two thousand years later the people who composed the Talmud known as Divri Sofrim/Word Counters eventually, after millennium of exile developed the language of the Cabala.

It is on this day also that the announcement of Tal/Dew was made throughout the Jewish world. Though the seasons are divided into four, there is yet another division between rain and dew. The beginning of spring, on the first day of the seven day holiday Passover announces dew; six months later at the end of the other seven day holiday Suchot is announced rain.

During Passover you can eat anywhere, but no leaven; during Suchot you can eat what you wish, but only in the Sucha—a small temporary dwelling erected for this seven day period.

Sun Renewed Passover Eve

Every twenty-eight years the sun returns to the place in the heavens where it was in the fourth day of creation when the celestial bodies were solidified in their orbit; there is a blessing accompanying this event acknowledging the Creator as having Oseh Maasa Berashith/Performing the Acts of Creation. The fundamental difference between the profane and truly profound is in the acknowledgment that the Creator is in the world and not the product of a spontaneous Big Bang, but rather the intricate design and constant creation of the Creator.

God who is neither physical nor spiritual, allowing God to be everywhere all the time to everything and to everybody, chose the heavens as vehicles of communications to the earth; having this 28 year cycle happen hours before the celebration of Passover which is the holiday of the spring rejoicing in the freedom of humanity as told during the Passover Seder of how the Jewish People were released from slavery and brought out into freedom as a nation is a shout from the heavens.

In this extraordinary time of world-wide change, the correcting of the 30 hour a year fraction is significant; in Hebrew is the Lamed—a large letter towering above the other letters is known as the connection between the heavens and earth. This special time is what is called in the Torah, End of Day; when the next 28 year event happens the 6000 year Hebrew calendar will have only 300 years left.
