The pig in Hebrew is called Chazir/Return; the Midrash-Book of Metaphor says the pig is called Return because one day he will return to become kosher–no more duplicity or schemes and what he says with his mouth he will mean with his heart.

America Crowned

Completing a journey of 156 steps and nearly eight years, the first visitors inside the Statue of Liberty's crown since the 9/11 attacks enjoyed a spectacular Fourth of July vista Saturday.

America never had a king, just a crown. In the Torah and particularly in the Cabala the crown is esteemed as the essence of life made in two parts, the inner and the outer–Pleasure and Will. Pleasure is the circle indicative of woman and Will the line indicative of man; the line and the circle together make a spiral of the crown–life from the DNA to the galaxy is a spiral.

The crown is the essence from where we connect to the soul; to be crowned is a great event–it says in the Talmud-Book of Law that one should run to see a king because Moshiach/Messiah will be king over the world.

Moshiach will undoubtable come first to America because Moshiach comes for the entire world and America is a place of people from around the world living in peace and prosperity waiting for the king to come and claim the crown.

A Bad Tongue

The are numerous commandments written in the Torah prohibiting slander and gossip which is called by the general term Lashon Hora/Bad Tongue. In the Book of Proverbs is written: Watching your mouth and tongue will guard against sorrow to the soul. It is explained that not watching what we say hurts the soul. In Tihilim/Psalms is written: The person who wants life and love seeing good days will watch the tongue from bad.

The Cabala separates the human from the animal by virtue of our ability to articulate thoughts into speech; it is through this ability we are able to rule over the animals. It is explained in the Zohar-Book of Secret how speech came into being through the 22 letters of creation coming before the Creator asking to be the beginning letter of creation.

The Cabalists say that life is full of letters, when we use those letters for good they give life, but when used for bad bring about death.

Forward March

Nearly 4,000 US Marines and 650 Afghan troops poured into Helmand Province Tuesday in an attempt to take back the Taliban stronghold.

This is not a war, but a cancer in the human body of the earth hiding in crevices coming out only to kill and provoke havoc. The Taliban are reminiscent of Amalake an ancient nation who attached the Jewish People in her infancy just as we were being freed from the slavery of Egypt. It is written in the Torah that God said, I will not be satisfied until Amalake is wiped from the world–the commandment is: whenever you meet Amalake, kill him.

The previous American administration let the cancer spread because war is in their best interest, but now our proud marines are fighting this holy war to root out evil–those who kill for the sake of killing will be killed.

The Cabala explains that evil was never created, just a shell of possibility was formed by God declaring what is good. Those who fill that shell of opposition to God with their lives transgress upon a slippery slope.

California Compassion

California faces a $25 billion budget shortfall, which it must resolve by July 1, today; the state is on the brink of financial disaster, and ripples from its fiscal collapse could adversely affect both the nation's economic rebound and, potentially, the Federal Government's credit status.

The fight in California is between taxes and programs with the governor refusing to levy any new taxes and the legislature refuses to cut essential programs–both claim support of the people who want less taxes and more programs. This basic conundrum goes back to the very beginning of creation.
