The Oscars

VOA News: The film industry's biggest stars have gathered in Hollywood for the 81st annual Academy Awards ceremony, recognizing the year's top movies and movie makers.

In Hebrew Oscar translates as And Reward and certainly the fulfillment of a dream is the ultimate reward. The Talmud-Book of Law discussing the making of a vessel concludes by saying, until Maca Bpatish/Final Hit with Hammer the vessel is not yet finished. The great honor of the Oscars is the tribute to the finish work which when given an Oscar is like the last hit of the hammer which concludes a segment of an actor’s career.

Reward in Torah is not considered a goal, but rather a stamp of approval meant to encourage further work. The stamp of the Creator is the word Emet/Truth spelled with the first, middle and last letter of the Hebrew alphabet as if to say, all is true.

Diligent digging into what is true produces the inspiration from where art flows.
