Another World

We’re getting closer to finding an Earth-like planet out there in the universe. Spanish astronomers announced the discovery of the smallest exo-planet found to date, located 30 light years from earth.

It says in the Midrash-Book of Metaphor that God created endless worlds, but these worlds have little to do with the earth embedded in our solar system. The Talmud-Book of Law cautions against pursuing pointless knowledge and in the Gemora called Chagiga/Holiday Offerings where is discussed how creation came into being through a weave of light lines, says do not try to understand before creation or after creation—these other worlds are within creation.

The question is what is the purpose of this discovery and others like it? If it is to show that our potent universe can produce life spontaneously thereby exempting the need for a Creator then the discovery is meaningless, but if the discovery leads to greater awe of the Creator then it is a beautiful piece of knowledge.
