Water at the Ends of the Universe

ScienceDaily (Apr. 26, 2009) — Astronomers have found the most distant signs of water in the Universe to date. The water vapor is thought to be contained in a jet ejected from a supermassive black hole at the centre of a far off galaxy.

In the story of creation as related in the Torah/Teaching the only thing which is really created is the human being, everything else including the animals existed previously--the four elements were arranged in their place and the animals were called out of the earth.

The Cabala explains how water existed before fire in a state of ice so cold that it precluded movement; only when movement occurred was there fire and matter along with the concept of time and space. Water is the symbol of unity, the nature of water is to hold together.

At the end of the holiday of Succoth in the fall it is said a drop of liquid, likened to a drop of sperm, is released from the frozen light which exists beyond creation, called OreAinSof/LightWithoutEnd, giving life to creation.
