The Jewish People are compared to a Tzipor/Bird as is says a bird seeks a home–a nest in Hebrew is Kaan with a gematria of 150. Also, the Torah says that in that place God will dwell with you. The Cabala explains the Jewish People are compared to a bird because we have the ability to go very high, but also to go very low. There is no greater restraint than prison and there God will dwell with Bernie Madoff.

When Bernie Madoff’s sentence expires there will only be 80 years left to the 6000 year Hebrew calendar; Bernie Madoff has a Jewish soul that promised God to come to the world to learn Torah/Teaching and perform Mitzvot/Commandments bringing deliverance to the world in the form of Moshiach who God has promised by the year 6000.

All the Jewish People in the world dwell with Bernie Madoff in his cell constructed from dishonesty and greed for using our God-given abilities for other than the truth.

Cruel and Unusual

Prison rape is cruel and unusual punishment. The Supreme Court has repeatedly found that sexual abuse is "not part of the penalty that criminal offenders pay for their offenses against society." It is a pity, a shameful embarrassment that took six years to figure this out. In 2003, Congress unanimously approved the Prison Rape Elimination Act, setting up a commission to study the problem and propose standards for eliminating it.

Global Warming

The House passed legislation on Friday intended to address global warming and transform the way the nation produces and uses energy.

Whether the assumption that human enterprise is responsible for the melting of the polar caps is debatable, but there is no question this bill will make for a better planet here on earth. The long awaited coming of the Moshiach/Messiah is known throughout the Torah to be a birth; the tumultuous times prior to this coming is called the birth pangs of Moshiach. Perhaps the widening of the ozone layer is the dilation of the woman-planet and raising of temperature a normal occurrence before giving birth.

It is known that during birth pangs it is good to breathe deeply and this bill in congress will allow us that deep breath. As the birth proceeds the pollution of the past becomes more problematic; likened to how the placenta needs to be dragged into the future where it is cutoff and ultimately discarded.

The birth is coming; no one can stop what is about to happen–we can only prepare.

Sun Cycle

The number 11 is representative of Keter/Crown as is the number 20–there is a 19 cycle of the moon and the 21 year cycle of the sun according to the Rambam who first gathered the law from the Talmud-Book of Law 800 years ago. the Zohar-Book of Secret goes into great detail into the different aspects of creation, concluding in the preface to the Zohar that creation is not a natural occurrence.

In ancient times skilled observers of the heavens would relate messages to the people; today heavenly signs are only considered unexplainable occurrences.

An Unwilling Martyr

Neda Soltan, the 26-year-old protester became an international symbol of Iranian resistance when she was randomly gunned down in Tehran.

The number 26 is associated with the Four Letter Name of God YHVH through gematria–the interchange between letters and numbers. The brutal killing of this 26 old woman passionate for music loving life is a spiritual sign of God’s displeasure.

Heart Music

A new study finds music can have a physical effect on heart rate and blood flow, opening the door to new treatments for heart disease and stroke.

The Cabala divides the heart into three parts: the right side of the heart is the lungs, the left side of the heart the heart and the middle is where the air from the lungs mixes with the blood from the heart; it is the moisture of the air which cools the heat of the heart–that is why it is good to breathe under stress.

The Smoking Law

President Barack Obama is set to sign an anti-smoking bill that will bring tobacco products under unprecedented federal control.

A Rebbe was once asked, how to stop smoking; he answered, slowly. It has taken the federal government over a decade to pass this obvious bill for the public safety. The rabbis also tried to ban smoking, but because the urge and addiction is so strong the rabbis feared losing their power over the people by passing a law that would be ignored–thus opening the door to rampant insurrection. Justice for All

President Obama ratcheted up his language against Iran’s leadership on Saturday, in a statement that invoked the American civil rights movement as an analogy for what was unfolding on the streets of Tehran.

Had it been that Barack Obama was not elected president there would have been chaos throughout the streets of America. World Hunger

ScienceDaily–world hunger is projected to reach a historic high in 2009 with 1,020 million people going hungry every day, according to new estimates published by United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

One sixth of the people on our planet going hungry can not help but remind us of our obligation through the Torah/Teaching to give between ten and twenty percent of our money to the poor. The Talmud-Book of Law calls this act of Ztadaka/Charity from the word Zdedic/Righteous–HaMitzva/The Commandment. Though there are 613 Commandments to the Jewish People, charity is The Commandment.

It is known in Jewish Law that the requirement to sustain life precludes all other commandments and if the poor were fed there is no question the benefits of a happy world–Moshiach would come and peace would be throughout the world. People are hungry because kindness is waning in he world.

The Cabala explains the delicate balance between Chesed/Kindness and Gevorah/Severity; when the meld is just perfect is created Tiferet/Beauty.

The Supreme Leader

In his first response to a week of protests of the disputed election, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said opposition leaders "will be held accountable for all the violence, bloodshed and rioting" if they do not halt the rallies.

The situation in Iran very much mirrors what happened in America back in the 2000 election of President Bush–the stolen election. The rallies and protests have ignited a movement of change, but it is important to follow the rules.

Once the son of a wise man was beckoned by his father, on the way he passed through a room where the children were playing blind man’s bluff; a blindfolded child touched the son of the wise man and said, “You’re it.” When a second messenger from the father asked the son why he had not gone to his father, the son replied, “Tell my father I am playing a game.”

Later the son explained that it is very important to teach children to follow the rules and if he was It, then he had to play the game.

The Value of Money

As Mr. Obama finishes his fifth month in office and assumes greater ownership of the problems he inherited, Americans are alarmed by the hundreds of billions of dollars that have been doled out to boost the economy.

The American people have been taught, as Oscar Wilde said, the price of everything—but the value of nothing. Moon Explosion

In an unprecedented scientific endeavor NASA is preparing to fly a rocket booster into the moon, triggering a six-mile-high explosion that scientists hope will confirm the presence of water.

The Torah chronicles the last 6000 years since the human being was placed on planet earth; in the year 1666 the earth was hit with a flood that came from the heavens–called in the Midrash-Book of Metaphor a wet dream. This actuality is given substance by the earlier exploration of the back side of the moon which unlike the side we see is denuded of detail due to the flood.

If scientists could get their hands on this celestial water they would find that it freezes in the center unlike earthly water which freezes on the surface. The water which was drawn to the earth at the beginning of the Six Days of Creation was commanded to seek depth and therefore freezes on the surface–the natural state of water is to cover like a veneer, that is what happened during the flood.

The Cabala describes the state of existence prior to creation as being frozen solid; the Zohar-Book of Metaphor says worlds were only a handbreadth apart until the ice was broken and began to melt.

Caught in the Rye

An author being sued by J.D. Salinger for copyright infringement is asking a judge to let his book be published.

Catcher in the Rye published by J.D. Salinger back in the early fifties has remained a defining description of the American soul–young, impetuous, wanting to save the world from falling from the precipice of a succulent field of rye. America is a unique country in the world, a little world made from all the peoples of the world living together in the melting pot of opportunity.

Having witnessed his Jewish father being investigated by the FBI for counterfeit holes in his swiss cheese, JD became the vehicle by which to disseminate both the goodness and the fragility of this nation with a wry sense of humor. The villain in Catching in the Rye was repeatedly referred to throughout the book by the phrase “God D-mn.” Catcher in the Rye is now ironically banned in many schools because of the use of this term–a clear violation of the Commandment not to use God’s Name in vain.

The Jewish People, the People of the Book, are not so unlike Holden Caufield; the dilemma in which the Jewish People find themselves has been brought on by those same God D-mners who have been trying to destroy the world and throw the little children over the cliff.

The State of Israel

The Land of Israel was given to the Jewish People 3500 years ago by the Creator through the Torah for the purpose of performing 613 Commandments–the majority of which require living on the land. There is no commandment to make a state.

When the Jewish People left Egypt and became a people they were promised a land flowing with milk and honey; when they came to the land forty years later God commanded the Jewish People to push out the seven nations of Canaan, but not the Palestinian People who, the Torah says, arrived there five hundred years earlier from Africa just prior to Avraham.

Obviously, God’s desire is for these two peoples to dwell together. The idea of two states sounds more like Rome’s way of divide and conquer than God’s way of peace and unity.

More Chaos in Iran

Security officials and riot police engaged in violent clashes with demonstrators in Tehran today in what one reporter called an "unprecedented scene" in Iran in recent years.

The Shah of Iran, a puppet of American politics was deposed in a similar scene in 1989 ending a 2500 year old monarchy that began with Cyrus the Great; The Shah allowed himself to be used by the West; straying far from his Muslim tradition the Shah lost the support of the clergy and was replaced by the religious politicians–similar to America’s President Reagan.

One extreme begets another extreme, it is the way of the world which moves in pendulum steps seeking a strong center. In 1953 the American president brought down Iranian democracy for strategic reasons and now karma has returned. Because President Obama is a determined center he has become a symbol of the future.

The Cabala explains how the right and the left are extremities and therefore far from the truth–only the middle reaches from the essence to the bottom.

Iran in Chaos

Interior minister says Ahmadinejad gets 63 pct of vote.

The number 63 is famous in the Cabala as the essence of the animal derived from YHVH in what is known as Milluim/Fillings. The animal wants to survive, at any costs. There are four Milluims of the YHVH 45-Adom/Human; 52/Behama/Animal; 63.Sag/Animal Essence and 72-Ab/Human Essence. These numbers are so profound that when found in the news they beg to be interpreted.

The earth is called Tavel a term used in the Torah for a human being having sex with an animal, the meaning being that this planet supports the human being who is a commingling of human and animal aspects. The challenge of the human being on planet earth is for the human to rule over the animal; it is why we are formed upright, unlike the animals who go on all fours with their head and their heart equal–in the human being the head rules over the heart.

The main thing about a democracy is embodied in the loser and how he loses; it is easy to win or as Bob would say, “Anyone can laugh but only a train can cry.”

Madonna

A ruling by Malawi's highest court today cleared the way for Madonna to adopt 4-year-old Chifundo "Mercy" James.

Super Heavy

The ubiquitous periodic table will soon have a new addition - the "super-heavy" element 112.

For the last decade or so scientists have been producing new heavy elements; uranium #92 (gematria Amen and the highest and lowest Names of God YHVH and Adonoi combined) is the last natural occurring element on the earth and ten numbers later, 112, is the Gematria of Yabuk the name of the river where Yaakov crossed over to do battle with the angel of Esau father of Rome as described in the Written Torah/Teaching. The Zohar-Book of Secret says the word Yabuk is an acronym for Y’chid Bracha Kadusha/Singular Separate Blessing.

The immense energy required in the fusion of the this new element is considerable and yet this new made element quickly erodes; life is similar to this new element in the great effort it takes in life to get anything done and how quickly it erodes. We come into this world naked and return naked–all we can take to the next world is what we have learned.

The Talmud-Book of Law says that God made a work for each person to love; there is wisdom in all work for all things are made from the 92 elements, but it requires great exertion to bring about something new.

Vatican Invokes Nazi Past

Lawyers for a Catholic advocacy group that sued San Francisco for condemning the Vatican's policy on same-sex adoptions are comparing the city's supervisors to Nazis laying the groundwork for the slaughter of Jews.

For a religion that conspired with the Nazis and is now led by a former Nazi youth having been photographed with all the Nazi regalia is odd or is it? As the church goes through his death throes finding themselves increasingly irrelevant on the world stage as they parade around their empty pomp and ceremony exemplifying their dogma invoking the most horrific violence of recent memory is the only way they can be noticed.

Giant Jellyfish

Giant jellyfish are taking over parts of the world's oceans as overfishing and other human activities open windows of opportunity for them to prosper, say researchers.

When Yoseph was thrown into the pit by his brothers the Torah makes a point of saying the pit was empty and had no water; this extra information provides insight into the phenomenon of emptiness. This is true even when water becomes empty of fish, giant jellyfish take their place. Fish in water is synonymous with the angels in heaven since both live in their source; the Talmud-Book of Law teaches that if a fish were to touch a person while submerged in the water it would not interfere with the submersion since the fish is one with the water.

The Torah also can be denuded of life, thats when the big bad jellyfish come in proclaiming religion.

Free Education

A leading arm of the United Nations working to spread the benefits of information technology today announced the launch of the first ever tuition-free online university.

According to Torah Law one can not be paid for teaching the truth; the word Torah means Teaching and money has no place in imparting the knowledge of the Torah or receiving the knowledge of the Torah. Religion finds ways around this prohibition.

There is no greater inequality than keeping a person ignorant–another attribute of religion. Religion strikes at the very essence of the Torah by calling her a Testament; the difference between testament and teaching is one is dogmatic and the other open for questions. Secular study also is more dogmatic than instructive–pushing the populous towards a common perception. If truth makes us free than the purveyors of ignorance are the greatest despots.

The Talmud-Book of Law makes the point that learning is not about how much or how little one learns, but rather the intention of one’s heart while they learn. The Cabala teaches intention is the key to freedom of choice.

The Oath

The MBA oath is a voluntary pledge for graduating MBAs to “create value responsibly and ethically.” Our goal is to begin a widespread movement of MBAs who aim to lead in the interests of the greater good and who have committed to living out the principles articulated in the oath.

Masses of money like masses of people can together accomplish what can not be done by the individual or the coin; two people together can carry more than the sum of each apart. It use to be, not so long ago when people did not rely upon the government, that the rich people in the community were the safety net to society. The Torah teaches to honor the rich because God has bestowed upon them wealth, but at the same time rich people have to recognize there responsibility to the whole.

The Cabala equates money with Kesof/Silver a word which can also mean unbridled desire. Everyone knows unbridled desire is a very dangerous thing warranting the use of an oath of responsibility.

V Day

On the 65th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy to free Europe from the Nazis, President Barack Obama saluted the elderly veterans who once stormed the beaches and achieved an "improbable victory" in World War II.

No one is more thankful for the sacrifices on this day than the Jewish People faced with annihilation having their population halves in five years down to six million. I was born in 1944 with searing memories of the crematoriums in my infant brain. The Jewish People have now regained their population to 14 million.

Not only were the Jewish People decimated but more importantly the Torah tradition and the great people of the Torah were murdered by Hitler once quoted as saying the only reason for the war was to killed the Jews. Why?

The Jewish People, the Chosen People, are chosen by God to perform the 613 Commandments comprising the inner working of the human body. The seven continents of the earth also comprise a human body and the Jewish People who have been forced to wander throughout the earth have brought life to the world through the Torah.

300th Win

Randy Johnson hugged his teammates and family in a cool late-spring drizzle as he celebrated his 300th win Thursday night as the SF Giants Baseball team beat the WAshington D.C. Nationals in D.C.

It was a small crowd because of the weather who witnessed the event which has ample cabalistic inferences. Presumably Randy Johnson will end his career as a Giant which seems appropriate for the 6” 10” pitcher and having achieved the statue of 24 puts baseball, America’s national pastime, on a firm footing–the letter Shin repeated 24 times equals 72 a number representing the essence of the human being.

The Great Divide

The US president appealed for a new beginning between America and Muslims around the world in his address to Cairo University.

The president is a proud example of the ideals of America inspiring other countries to follow America’s example and erect states representing the ideals of the people of that country–democracy. Ignorance and violence is the only foe that Mr. Obama mentioned. He completed his speech by referring to the Torah and Koran

The Torah and the Koran represents these two Semitic Peoples–Jewish and Arab, both sons of Avraham who lived almost 4000 years ago. These two peoples, more than blood, are tied by their language. Avraham master of language, having lived during the Tower of Babel, was able to fashion a unique language for each of his two children Ishmael and Yitzchok/Issac–Arabic and Hebrew. Not only did these two unique languages establish each people, but in addition each language supports prophecy, transmissions from heaven–the Torah and the Koran.

The blood and the soul of the Jewish and Arab Peoples makes us brothers. Through this recognition peace will come.

Water on Mars

NASA scientists modeled freezing conditions on Mars to test whether liquid water could have been present to form the surface features of the Martian landscape.

The people before the flood 4000 years ago saw for hundreds of years the flood coming towards the earth; the Midrash-Book of Metaphor says the people knew the precise date that the flood would arrive–1666, but because they refused to repent their ways until the very last moment, even though they lived close to 1000 years, God brought the flood ten years early on 1656 as recorded in the Written Torah/Teaching.

The Zohar-Book of Secret is full of information about the previous world known as Tohu/Chaos identified as Mars the place where the flood emanated. The Zohar explains that the previous world was an interior world and the center of that world is made of ice; when you hit the rock water of that world water comes out.

Unfortunately, Torah has been relegated to religion; so, as scientists grapple with their broken theories which no longer adequately explain phenomenon they are unaware that there is higher knowledge that could be applied illuminating their way.

Science and truth are not incompatible.

SF Gate–The Golden Gate Bridge, the powerful yet graceful landmark that has become synonymous with San Francisco around the world, opened 72 years ago today.

The number 72 in Cabala is one of the four Milluim/Fillings of the YHVH Four Letter Name of God related to the essence of the human being. San Francisco is a unique city of seven hills, like Rome yet half way around the world. Since the city’s destruction a hundred years ago in 1906, 5666 in the Hebrew calendar, a vibrant, liberal bastion has arisen–and the Golden Gate Bridge is her symbol.

Gold in Cabala relates to the feminine side of the brain, the left side called Bena/Understanding–Mother of Emotions. Gesher/Bridge in connected to the word Kesher/Knot; it is said: that life is but a narrow bridge and the main thing is not to be afraid.

San Francisco is the place where the world first attempted to unify after the WWI called the League of Nations; it is also the place of the flower children in the sixties. San Francisco is the soul to the world connected to the body through a bridge of gold.

Abortion and Murder

Dr. George Tiller - one of the few U.S. physicians who performed late-term abortions and long a target of violent extremists as well as principled opponents - was shot and killed Sunday in the lobby of his church.

It says in the Talmud-Book of Law, those who kill will be killed and those who kill the murderer will also be killed. Life no matter how difficult is precious and murder is something that all human beings are commanded by the Creator not to commit. The problem with abortion is the inability to answer the question, when does life begin?

To say life begins at conception is so stringint a view as to take away choice from the woman, yet to take the other view, that life does not begin until the baby is separated from the mother is equally as harsh.

The Talmud-Book of Law is adamantly exact stating life begins at 41 days after conception; this time has been verified by scientist who first find brainwaves at 41 days–the Koran also concurs with this date.

The fact that one murderer killed another murderer in a church who who holds ultimately responsible for their hiding is skewing of the law is notable.
