Money Can’t Buy Ya Love

Obama administration said Tuesday they had agreed to pay $1.4 billion to a group of more than 300,000 American Indians, settling a long-running suit over the government's handling of lands held in trust for Indians since the 19th century.

A poignant admission from the government with a particularly painful past decimating the indigenous people of this land for money. Now the money has to go back, but no amount of money can restore what was lost.

The importance of indigenous peoples is two fold; first their connection to the land and second their transmission of ancient knowledge and ritual. The remnant which is left needs to be preserved with respect.

The Jewish People are also indigenous to the our land and the remnant that remain needs to be preserved for the sake of the Torah and Mitzvot/Commandments many of which can only be accomplished on the land of Yisroel/Israel.

The Torah teaches the land was given to the people while the Indians understand they were given to the land. Each practiced animal sacrifice to the Creator and used smoke to connect with the heavens. The American Indians believe life to be 104 years four times the YHVH/26 Name of God.

The Cabala explains that eventually the entire world will be called by the Name Yisroel meaning we will be obligated to the rest the earth every seven years.
