The 29th of February — Leap Day, is one of the ways humans impose order on the universe; it takes 365.24219 days for the Earth to make its lap around the sun – the extra six hours causes an added day every four years.
The first calendar was conceived from information given to Chanoch 5000 years ago, 666 years into the life of Adom, the first created human being. Chanoch was taken to heaven at 365, the number of days in a year, and made to be the angel Matatron – the angel of the Earth.
This ancient calendar was delivered to the Mayans, by Mohammed the Prophet who took a night journey in a dream on his horse; the Mayans recall how a god came from heaven to deliver their calendar on a feathered serpent – horses were not yet introduced into the Americas.
The Mayan Calendar has 13 lunar months of 28 days, and one day for the yearly transition. The Hebrew Calendar adds a month every few years reconciling the 19 year cycle of the moon with the 21 year cycle of the sun – keeping the commandment of having the holidays in their season.
The Roman calendar relies completely on the sun without cognition to the moon. The light of the sun blinds; the Talmud-Book of Metaphor calls blindness Sogi Ore/Too Much Light. The Cabala explains, The light of the moon is the light of creation – a woman giving birth monthly.

THE CABALA OF NEANDERTHALS
A new study suggests most Neanderthals died out as early as 50,000 years ago - thousands of years before our own species appeared; yet, a small group of Neanderthals then recolonised parts of Europe, surviving for 10,000 years before vanishing.
Archeology relies upon the assumption, Carbon 14 has always broken down at the same rate; but, according to the Cabala, The six thousand years of human history has been more the spiral of time than the extension of the incremental line of time. Time was created malleable.

President Barack Obama apologized Thursday for the accidental burning of Korans by U.S. forces in Afghanistan as anti-American demonstrations raged for a fourth consecutive day.

Stocks rose as the market opened and investors responded to news that a bailout deal has been reached for Greece beginning a steady march to the 13000 mark; it was the first time in four years the Dow reached the 13.
The number 13 is significant since 13 is the gematria of Echud/One. The Cabala shows how each of the three letters making the word Echud/One is indicative of an idea: the Aleph/1 is God, the Chet/8 the Seven Heavens and the Earth and the Daled/4 the four directions.
When the Jewish People say the Shema Yisroel, pinnacle of prayer, we proclaim that God is present from Pluto until the Earth and everywhere upon the Earth; the Zohar-Book of Secret explains how the earth was seeded with life from the outer six worlds through the Seven Heavens.

China said that it supports the Arab League's proposals for ending the violence in Syria, reflecting Beijing's desire for mediation but aversion to U.N. involvement that could lead to authorizing force, as happened with Libya.
After Russia and their closest ally China lost the Cold War, they also lost their appetite for war; instead these two super powers, one with massive land and resources and the other with massive population, consolidated their take and began rebuilding their countries.
The non-spiritual humanists, Russia and China, balanced between autocracy and democracy, have made enormous steps forward. Ironically, in the West, particularly from right-wing religious extremists, war is the preferred response. Why does religion want to wage war?
War is endemic to religion because fighting for God and country is so much more than just fighting for country; claiming, God on our side, is often the excuse used for murder. When God is not invoked, peace and prosperity come quicker to the people. A king bridges this divide.

THE CABALA OF CONFINE
John Glenn is marking the 50th anniversary of his historic spaceflight today; the astronaut and senator from Ohio became the first American to orbit the Earth on Feb. 20, 1962, circling it three times in five hours.
In Torah Law, a Jewish slave who sells himself forever to his master because he loves being a slave to his master goes free after fifty years – therefore, fifty is considered forever. Fifty years ago the human being was slave to the earth, unable to leave the force of gravity.

THE CABALA OF THEOLOGY
Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum courted conservative voters with an attack on President Barack Obama’s religion saying, Obama's agenda is about some phony ideal, some phony theology — not a theology based on the Bible, a different theology.
The word Theology is made from two words: Theo/God and Logy/Logic – how God is logically understood. Even though God is beyond logic, nonetheless, God is revealed in logic. The Cabala explains how logic is used to remove the darkness so the light can shine.
Truth is beyond logic and God is far beyond truth. There are three levels to truth: Sfat Emet/Lips of Truth; Emet/Truth and Emet HaAmetoi/Truth of Truth; the Bible on the other hand is from the word Babel – to speak incoherently – so the Testaments, need not be true.
How true are the Testaments? The Old Testament is a bad translation of the Torah. The word Torah means, Teaching; teaching encourages questions, but Testament, like dogma, has no place for questions. If the title is so distorted, what hope is there for the interior text?

Scientists studying black holes using the Hubble Space Telescope have detected infant stars orbiting the only black hole in the medium mass range; this news could possibly be linked to the way black holes and galaxies are born in the universe.
Scientists assume back holes happen as a result of the density of stars burning out, then collapsing within; but, according to the Cabala, which records the elemental principles and functions of creation, the opposite is true – the black hole happened first, before stars.

THE CABALA OF TRUTH
President Obama's re-election team on Monday rolled out a campaign to recruit two million supporters to help debunk attacks on the president's record and hit back at his Republican rivals – called the Truth Team.
The Torah/Teaching is often referred to as Torat Emet/True Teaching, but what is truth? The word for Truth, Emet is composed from the first, middle and last letter of the Hebrew alphabet as if to say, Truth must include the beginning, middle and end or it is not the truth.
The Cabala explains this triangulation of truth as exemplified from the three parts of the brain; the right and left hemispheres of the brain work in unison but are differentiated as Father and Mother. Truth is hidden in the father but revealed through the mother.
The third aspect of truth is knowing as portrayed by the frontal lobe behind the forehead; the purpose of knowing is to stop the brain from thinking further – when we know, the necessity of thought diminishes so the emotions can be expressed, followed by speech.

The Pentagon announced last week that the military would now allow women to serve in jobs that would bring them closer to combat.
There is a very pragmatic reason why women are rarely let into combat – seeing a woman injured demoralizes a man more than seeing his male counterpart hurt. The root to this disparity is found in the primal sexual competition between the sperm trying to reach the egg.
The few thousand eggs a woman is born with are limited in number due to the woman’s inability to produce new cells; whereas the sperm of the male is without limit – the melding of finite and infinite produces a vehicle able to drawn down spiritual life into a physical body.

The nation’s Roman Catholic bishops have rejected a compromise on birth control coverage and said they would continue to fight to receive free contraceptive coverage in their health insurance plans, without direct involvement or financing from the institutions.
The bishops are quoted saying, All the other mandated preventive services prevent disease, pregnancy is not a disease. What is a disease is pedophilia; ironic, those who turn their backs on priests sexually abusing children are the same ones who insist on the moral imperative.
Even worse than this, if anything could be worst than this, is the hypocrisy employed to make their case – morals; morality falls under the general umbrella of ethics. Everyone is equally obligated in ethical behavior whereas morals are personal acquired habits.
Ethics allows societies to function – despots have no ethics and those who want to hold ethics hostage to their moral standard are themselves immoral in their certitude. The basis for Jewish ethics is found in the Mishna/Learning, father to the Talmud-Book of Law.

The Catholic Church is wrong about birth and death – the child begins after forty days from conception and there is no Hell, all souls return to Heaven. What the Church does have is power, written into the constitution, open to interpretation, called: Freedom of Religion.
There is no word for Religion in the ancient languages of Hebrew, Arabic or Sanskrit; as for freedom, The only freedom is Torah. The Torah comes from the heavens likened to water bringing life to the earth; the law of the Torah is prophetic – stricter than God’s Law is too strict.

Today, on the full moon of this month, celebrates the holiday of Tu BiShavat, New Year of the Trees; the New Year is a method to calculate the age of a tree.
One of the 613 Commandments given to the Jewish People 3500 years ago is not to eat the fruit of a tree grown in Land of Israel before three years; called Orlah, this prohibition requires tracking the age of each tree – a task made easier by establishing a New Year for the trees.

THE CABALA OF CLOUDS
Our solar system appears to sit at the edge of one of many low-density interstellar clouds that move through this region of the galaxy—and we may actually exit the cloud in the next few thousand years, the data show.
The first description of creation offered by the Zohar-Book of Secret is of a cloud, also known as Reshima/Hint–the Jewish People lived in a cloud called Ananni HaKoved/Clouds of Glory that rained bread upon the people during the forty years wandering in the Wilderness.
The cloud represents the feminine aspect of God, as seen from the quote, I will place by bow within the cloud. The Cabala explains, The cloud happens as a result of the heat from the sun making the water melt and the vapor to rise – Mayin Nukvim/Feminine waters.
When Avraham takes his son, Yitzchok to be sacrificed, they look out over the Wilderness and Avraham asks, What do you see, my son? Yitzchok answers, I see a majestic mountain topped with a cloud. Avraham asks his servants what they see, but the servants only see wilderness.
Avraham tells the servants to stay with the animals because they are liken to animals unable to see beyond what their eyes behold. In 1000 years the Solar System will exit this celestial cloud and life on Earth will be inexorably changed as the Zohar-Book of Secret predicts.

When Avraham takes his son, Yitzchok to be sacrificed, they look out over the Wilderness and Avraham asks, What do you see, my son? Yitzchok answers, I see a majestic mountain topped with a cloud. Avraham asks his servants what they see, but the servants only see wilderness.

THE CABALA OF ORGASM
Conservative Republicans reported the highest frequency of orgasm, of all respondents surveyed, despite having the least amount of sex; more than half of conservative Republicans said they reached climax every time they had sex, compared with 40 percent of liberal Democrats.
Conservative and liberal are based in the present and the future; the conservative champion the status quo while the liberals want to push back the boundaries and explore new models – both are correct. These two primal viewpoints have far reaching social ramifications.

THE CABALA OF SUGAR
Scientists say sugar is killing you; a team at UCSF published a paper in Nature this week, claiming sugar is a toxic, addictive substance that should be regulated by the government, and even banned when it comes to children.
The Land of Israel is famously known as the Land of Milk and Honey; the Cabala explains, Milk is the attribute of Chesed/Kindness while honey is Gevorah/Severity – sugar is refined severity. Yet, the purpose of life, here on earth is to sweeten the severity.
Refining severity increases the dosage and propagates the addiction; therefore, sweetening Gevorah/Severity should be accomplished through lessening the sweetness. In America sugar is put into everything, but even worse is the artificial sweetener – the pretense of sweet.
There is a natural nurturing from the sweetness of life that sugar distorts; the refined pleasure evoked by sugar causing the addiction, also desensitizes the populous until only something artificial can soothe the hunger. It is the sweetness of life that kills us.
But, then there is chocolate, a substance beloved by all women, everywhere; Women are the source of Gevorah/Severity and all things hidden – chocolate touches the essence of woman, sweetening severity. In the end, Sugar is earthly, honey is heavenly but chocolate is divine.

Mitt Romney, in a CNN interview, said "I’m in this race because I care about Americans, I’m not concerned about about the very poor - we have a safety net there, if it needs repair I’ll fix it.”
There is an old tradition in the use of stuff, a fine powder meant for the nose to bring on the pleasure of a sneeze; the person giving the snuff kisses the hand of the person taking the snuff, the Cabala explains, by touching thumb to forefinger makes the Name Shadi.
Similarly, there is a distinctive urge to thank the person who takes our charity because without the poor the great commandment of helping the poor can not be accomplished. A governmental safety net does not replace human interaction and obligation of rich to poor.
The greatest charity is, To help the poor from poverty by finding them employment. The Reagan Ethic of trickle down economics keeps poverty in place; by isolating a segment of the population gives the rich an unfair advantage to pressure the middle class into concessions.
Snuff is a rich pleasure for rich people so they can experience pleasure in every part of their body. The Talmud-Book of Law says, A sneeze indicates God’s happiness but a fart is indicative of Godly displeasure. Not to care about the poor people is a fart.
