THE CABALA ON IGNORANCE

An Afghan mother and daughter are dead after being stoned and shot by a group of men in Ghazni province; the women were apparently accused by the Taliban of moral deviation and adultery.

This unfortunate and ignorant rendering of the Torah has inflicted an indecent cruelty upon the world. There are many instances in the Torah where the sentence is death, but if the judges put to death more than one person in 70 years the judges were considered murders.

The judges are required to find loopholes in the law, thereby allowing the most severe element of society, to show compassion. The Cabala (Kabbalah) explains, The work of the human being is to turn bitterness sweet by transforming the world through means of compassion.

Even when the death sentence was carried out, it was done with compassion – the guilty were not allowed to feel pain. In the case of stoning, the guilty was first drugged, then thrown off a steep embankment causing death – after death stones were thrown on the body.

The hideous nature of ignorance is seen most in the self-righteous who have no regard for life – their own or anybody else. The Cabala (Kabbalah) teaches how the importance of physical life is tied to the commandments. All peoples are commanded not to kill.
