Historian and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said this week, Remember, there was no Palestine as a state, it was part of the Ottoman Empire; I think that we've have invented the Palestinian people, who are in fact Arabs and are historically part of the Arab community.
A historian tries to determine the truth and the politician then skews the truth according to the agenda, but Gingrich has presented inaccurate facts to begin with. The Palestinians are not Arabs, but an ancient people who gave refuge to the founding fathers.
The Torah records, When Avraham came to the land the Palestinians were already a people; 500 years later the the 12 Tribes leave Egypt and become the Jewish People. God did not bring the Jewish People immediately to the land lest they fear the power of the Palestinians.
Although God later commanded the Jewish People to drive out the Seven Nations of Caanan, the Palestinian People and the Jewish People are meant to live together. Throughout the Middle East Palestinians are put into camps, not considered Arabs, but are aligned through Islam.
The Cabala explains, The root of the word Plistim/ Palestinian comes from the phrase Movey Palestious/Open Alleyway where the wind blows through; the Palestinians claimed everything for themselves - nature of the people. Yet, these two peoples are bound by ancient treaties.
