THE CABALA OF PASSOVER

After centuries of slavery, Passover, referring to the way in which God passed over the homes of the Israelites during the night while killing the Egyptian first born, the last of the Ten Plagues was being visited upon the Egyptians.

The Cabala explains, God went against God’s own kind nature by killing the first born of the Egyptians to free the Jewish People, therefore commanded the Jewish People to go against their own nature by learning the Torah daily during every spare moment day and night.

Even now, 3500 years later, freedom from slavery and oppression requires war, death and suffering – the latest example being Syria. The Torah teaches, The only freedom is the teaching of God; without God being part of the equation one goes from one oppression to another.

God freed the Jewish People from slavery so they could receive the Torah and the 613 Commandments 50 days later on Har Sinai/Mountain of Hatred; the Talmud-Book of Law explains, By giving the Torah to the Jewish People caused hatred from the nations to be put upon Yisroel.

Every Passover the Jewish People reenact the process of freedom through eating the Matza and drinking the four cups of wine corresponding to the four future exiles: Babylon, Persia, Greek and Rome. The 2000 year Roman exile is prophesied to be the last exile before Moshiach.
