Israeli Elections

The recent results of the Israeli elections are well suited for a combined centralist party. The Rambam writes 800 years ago in his seminal work Yad HaChazaka/Strong Hand a compilation of the 613 Commandments written throughout the first five books of the Torah known a Chumash/Five that one should strive always to go in the middle way. Yet, the Rambam cautions even in the middle way one should go in the middle way—meaning, not to be dogmatic because at times the extremes are valuable.

The Torah/Teaching is often compared to the Tree of Life; Torah is rooted in the truth therefore can reach to the furthest extremities. The Cabala teaches that nothing can exist without the spark of God giving life—even inhumane extremes. Through the middle extremes are mollified and in the end severity is sweetened.
