Heart Music

A new study finds music can have a physical effect on heart rate and blood flow, opening the door to new treatments for heart disease and stroke.

The Cabala divides the heart into three parts: the right side of the heart is the lungs, the left side of the heart the heart and the middle is where the air from the lungs mixes with the blood from the heart; it is the moisture of the air which cools the heat of the heart–that is why it is good to breathe under stress.

The heart is called in the Cabala Tiferit/Beauty accented by the two nipples of man the two breasts of woman; the nipple is the sign of compassion and the breasts are a sign of compassion in abundance. Music affects the body because music is felt in the heart which holds a constant beat.

The Temple in Jerusalem was serviced by the Tribe of Levi who performed music endlessly to the rejoicing masses. The Rambam, the first Jewish legalist 800 years ago writes in the laws concerning this orchestra the law limiting instruments except for the harp which could be played without limit.
