A DIAMOND FUTURE

Astronomers have spotted an exotic planet that seems to be made of diamond racing around a tiny star in our galactic backyard.

The Talmud-Book of Law tells a story about Rebbe Yochannan who is teaching about how the Third Temple has pillars made of diamonds impervious to destruction. A student asks, How can it be, pillars of diamonds, when in the whole world we do not find diamonds as big as a fist?

Rebbe Yachonnan is silent; the student takes a voyage and on his return says to the Rebbe, You are right. While out to sea a storm came up, the heavens opened – I saw the angels carving the diamond pillars. From the Rebbe's stare the student was reduced to the dust of humility.

This newly discovered diamond planet is about the size of Jupiter, but 20 times as dense orbiting a neutron star, 12 miles in diameter – a marvel of creation. In the future nature will be replaced by revelation; miracles will cease to exist because all will be miraculous.

The revelation of the future will be like living on a diamond planet, where reality is illuminated with brilliance; the brilliance emanates from the soul and the soul can be reduced into happiness at being close to the Creator. The more we do the closer the soul gets.
