The Supreme Court upheld President Obama's health care law today; Chief Justice John Roberts – a conservative appointed by President George W. Bush – provided the key vote.
The activists Roberts’ Court has come under public ridicule, scrutiny and scorn for their far reaching decisions concerning money and politics. Judges are expected to be beyond politics, unable to be bribed; but, the more political the court becomes, the more the bribe is on.
One wonders what political pressures helped the Chief Justice to, uncharacteristically, change his predilections and side with the other side? True justice only wantS to clarify the law, not make law. Because the highest court is divided, America is divided.
Division is the divisive substance on which politics thrives. Courts temper the rigors of law, unless the court is bought; then, the courts promulgate further division within the country. In Cabala, division is an offshoot of Gevorah/Severity but also can be translated as Strength.
The Talmud-Book of Law teaches, An argument for the sake of heaven remains but those who argue not for the sake of heaven do not remain. One of the Seven Commandments given to Noah was, To establish courts of law that administer justice; observing this commandment will bring unity.
