THE CABALA OF JERUSALEM

Yesterday, Jerusalem Day, marked the 1967 reunification of the city under Jewish rule brought protests from all sides; the reunification caused the Temple Mount returned to Jewish hands for the first time since the Romans razed the holy site 1900 years ago.

This 45 year anniversary has cabalistic inferences; the number 45 is one of the four numbers implicit in the YHVH and is the gematria of Adom/Human; 45 is also the gematria of Mah/What – a question amplified by the political forces that have infringed on God’s territory.

The Temple Mount was purchased by Dovid 3000 years ago; Dovid was the first Jewish king in the line of kings leading to Moshiach – Dovid was chosen for his lack of politics and his devotion to God. Now, the travesty of politics has invaded even to the Temple Mount without resolution.

The Zohar-Book of Secret predicts, In the end the tribe of Reuben will return to Israel, take over the land, make war on their neighbors and terrorize the world – they will win but they will not remain because they came for the wrong reason. Politics is antithetical to God.

The only reason for the Jewish People to go to Israel is to respect the land by performing the 613 Commandments, many of which can only be done on the land. The word Jerusalem means: Complete Fear – not the fear of war nor the fear of nations, but the fear of God.

THE CABALA OF DEPRESSION

Few medicines have been greeted with as much exultation as Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft, but now the same antidepressants have become the new villains of modern psychopharmacology and a pill-happy culture searching for quick fixes for complex mental problems.

The Cabala clearly states, The only good in depression is getting out of depression. Though there is no sin in the Torah for being depressed, yet all bad actions stem from depression – a fundamental desire not to live. In between birth and death is the will to be or not to be.

The Rabbis, 2000 years ago, who affixed the daily prayers, did not require the supplicant to know the meanings of the words other than one sentence: God’s open hand gives sustenance to all will. Will is beyond thought or reason; depression is a cancerous will eating away the soul.

Will surrounds and permeates the body effecting thoughts, moods and actions – when will is gone, life is gone. Shaul, the first appointed King of Israel, was famously depressed, leading him to actions that under minded his kingship and his eventual demise. Dovid was the next king.

Dovid had a very difficult life from beginning to end, but Dovid loved God; he always saw his sins before him and therefore saw the punishments melted out from life as the love of God bringing him closer. Moshiach, who will bring happiness to the world, is destined to come from Dovid.

Bob Does White House

"The times, they are a changin'," sang Bob Dylan, in the stately East Room of the White House strumming an acoustic guitar, as President Barack Obama hosted an evening of the music from the civil rights movement.

“Come senators, congressman, please heed the call, Don’t stand in the doorway, don’t block up the hall.” Bob seemed to be nodding to the president after the song and then stepped down to shake his hand.

After fifty years congress is still blocking the hall preferring to be obstructionists hoping for political gains. Bob has always shied away from politics, but his songs have not–he is the poet-king of our time. Like the prophets of old Bob does not interpret his words he just sings them, perhaps that is why they last so long in our communal psyche.

Dovid, first king of the Jewish People 3500 years ago was the original poet-king from whose branch Moshiach will come; but, not only will Moshiach be from the tree of Dovid but will have the personality of Dovid who detested politics–the original reason for which Dovid was chosen by God to become king.

The Cabala explains how Dovid’s name Dalet-Vav-Dalet can be read frontwards or backwards indicating how Dovid was always the same whether up or down. It is hoped the dudes in congress will heed his call and get out of the hall.

Affixer of Names

The writer Carol Ann Duffy was appointed Britain’s poet laureate on Friday, becoming the first woman to take a 341-year-old job that has been held by, among others, Dryden, Tennyson, Wordsworth, Cecil Day-Lewis and Ted Hughes.

The number 340 is gematria Sham/Name. It is considered by the cabalists the naming of a child is prophetic because it is through the name the soul enters into the body; no mater what the process the end is prophetic. It is why we instinctively call out a person’s name trying the revive those passed out. It was customary from the very beginning of the Jewish People for the women to name the children because the women had the power of prophesy more than the men.

It is stated in the Midrash-Book of Metaphor that all the words in the Torah/Teaching are Names of God. The original poet of the Jewish People was Dovid the first king in the line to Moshiach; he was the poet-king who played on his harp melodies and songs to God.

Having a woman take such a coveted position in the naming of names–bringing spirit into the world could only bode well for the world as we finish the 6000 years of man and enter into the thousand years of woman and of peace.

Moshiach’s Meal

Passover concludes with a final meal dedicated to Moshiach who must appear before the next 230 years—the expiration of the Hebrew calendar. In the year 5666/1906 a great Rebbe in Russia asked his students to drink four glasses of wine because the Four Alephim/1111 was coming into the world. A hundred years later the 111th Congress and the president as head Aleph/One comprise the 1111; the four cups of wine makes its difficult to continue.

The 1111 refers to the four parts of the brain pictured in the four compartments of the Tephilin worn on the head during prayer. The year 666 is significant because it infers the climax of the thousand years of Ysod/Secret when all the secrets of the world are being revealed; a week before the year 5666 began Einstein published E equal MC squared and Picasso discovered Cubism as the earth shook beneath San Francisco from where the truth comes forth.

According to the Talmud-Book of Law at the end of Moshiach’s meal a cup of wine is passed between the ancient elders until it reaches Dovid who says, I will take the cup of salvation and cry out to God.

High Waters Rising

Residents of south Fargo, North Dakota, evacuated their homes early on Friday as the Red River rose to its highest level in 111 years. The river is expected to crest by Saturday at 42 feet.

Shlomo, King of Israel son of Dovid wrote in his love poem to God called Shir HaShirim/Song of Songs, “Mighty waters will not be able to conquer my love and rivers will not inundate; if a man gives all the riches of his house with love it will be disrespected.”

Water is an often used metaphor throughout the Torah/Teaching who is compared to the water which emanates from the heavens, but does not lose her essential quality upon the earth.

Water is the sign of life and growth when administered in proper portions; the number 42 in Cabala is the essence of chaos, called Mob, refers to the previous world which was on the planet Mars. The number 111 is the Milue/Essence of the letter Aleph/1 along with being the 111th Congress of the USA.

The letter Aleph depicts the primordial splitting of the waters and 42 represents the essence of chaos; we live in a time when the essence of order and chaos do battle—in the Torah/Teaching it is called, End of Days when true order will overcome chaos.
