THE CABALA OF SITTING

A recent report has estimated that about one-third of adults worldwide are not doing enough physical activity – causing just as many deaths as smoking.

The Cabala describes life as, that which moves – death does not move. The human being is described as a Mahalach/Walker, whereas in heaven one is Omdin/Stander – meaning, their place can not be changed. The purpose of life on Earth is to make a permanent place in Heaven.

The Midrash-Book of Metaphor considers Earth as the antechamber preceding a larger room; reincarnation provides a way for the soul to change their place in Heaven by coming to the Earth for a new life. The movers not only live longer but they also live better.

Comfort in this world translates to discomfort in the next world; relaxation now is boredom in the future. There is no free choice in the next world and therefore there is no way to change our situation once we die. Whether one sits and smokes, or just sits, the outcome is the same.

When Moshiach comes the light on Earth will increase and the possibilities of choice will decrease; people will long for the good old days when choice could radically change one’s position in this world and the next – but, the good old days will be gone. Sitting now, suffer later.

THE CABALA OF MONEY

The median U.S. household lost 40% of its wealth from 2007 to 2010, leaving the median U.S. family in 2010 with no more money than it had in the early 1990s, erasing almost two decades of accumulated prosperity, the Federal Reserve said Monday.

The good new is, the rich got richer; what trickles down to the people is the debt – there is no question, money is completely overvalued. Gold, silver and other precious metals and commodities have intrinsic value, but money is but a promissory note lacking collateral.

The best things in life, like family and love, are free and can not be bought. Money is the oppressor causing people to forfeit their freedom, selling themselves into slavery to acquire money. Money is a lie, a fabrication meant to be a stumbling block before the blind.

Money is comparable to insects who fly in the air but would bury the world three miles high if they fell to the ground; so too, money has to keep moving – motion is a sign of life, once money stops flowing it dies. The forty percent drop is forty percent of nothing.

Cabala explains, the letter Mem with a value of forty is the only letter spelled out using it same letter – MM, constituting the abstract of confine; all other letters are spelled out utilizing other letters. The confine of money is a walled-in prison with a life sentence.

THE CABALA OF LIFE

Scientists in the Arctic have discovered the largest ever under-ice bloom of phytoplankton, likening the discovery to finding the Amazon rainforest in the middle of the Mojave Desert.

The Earth is alive; God spoke and the world was – the Word of God remains forever and forever will the world live. Life does not just happen and scientists who explore life, will all their tools and technological advances, can not create new life from inanimate material.

The Misrash-Book of Metaphor exclaims, Life hangs on the delicate balance of a hair; the Talmud-Book of Law says, One should view their actions as if the entire world is balanced between good and bad – each conscious decision turns the earth between merit or the opposite – fault.

The delicate balance of the environment and many surprises unearthed by science corroborates what the Cabala teaches, The world could have been made more simple but God wanted to express the open hand of the Creator through the diversity of creation – life without end.

The most inhospitable places on the Earth sprout life because the world is alive. In the future, life will be heard – the rock will say, Don’t walk on me unless you go to do the Will of the Creator; food will say, Bless God before partaking in my fruit.

THE CABALA OF EARTH DAY

More than 500 million people in 175 countries will observe Earth Day today by raising awareness for environmental issues around the world; since Earth Day was founded 42 years ago, attention has been brought to the preventable dangers of pollution and global warming.

The Zohar-Book of Secret teaches, The Earth and the six outer planets are the prototype to the seven continents that comprise our world; the Midrash-Book of Metaphor teaches, The Earth is a large person – the Cabala teaches, Being the seventh is Malchut/Royalty, also known as woman.

The Earth’s configuration supports this conclusion: the polar cap is the skull, Antarctica the feet, Europe and Asia the torso, England and Japan the hands, Africa and South America the legs, America the buttocks, the Mediterranean the sex and Australia and New Zealand the ovaries.

The Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans correspond to the Sun, Mercury and Venus where life does not yet exist. The Earth is the center of our Solar System because freedom of choice exists only on this terrestrial plane – in comparison, the other planets are considered spiritual.

What happens on the earth determines the fate of our galaxy whose center aligns with the earth on December 21 of this year concluding a 26,000 year cycle celebrated by the ending of the Mayan calendar. God’s Four Letter Name, YHVH, has a gematria of 26. Earth Day is everyday.

THE CABALA OF LONG LIFE

Manohar Aich of India overcame many hurdles, including grinding poverty and prison, to achieve body building glory, turned 100 today saying, His ability to take his troubles lightly and remain happy during difficult times is the secret to his longevity.

Life is short when 100 is a long time because each stage of life teaches a new secret and by 100 the person is wise but ready to die. Life is a conundrum made worse by our desire for pleasure; the Cabala considers pleasure to be the spiritual source of life.

The Torah teaches, Through life, the soul comes closer to God. The center book of the Five Books of the Torah called Viyikra/Calling is dedicated to the sacrifice of animals upon the altar of earth with fire, blood and the accompanied song. Korev/Sacrifice also means Close.

There was ecstasy in the Temple during the sacrifice of the animal. Though the sacrifices were commanded by God through the Torah, their purpose was for the people; life is predicated upon purpose and purpose requires sacrificing the animalistic attitudes of the human being.

Life is not about how long we live but what we do with our lives. This world is likened to the antechamber before the great hall; from here we enter into heaven – the great hall of creation where the animal-angel sacrifices the human to bring the soul closer to the Creator.

Nun of That

The Catholic Church’s recent excommunication of an Arizona nun involved in the decision to authorize abortion to save the life of the mother reinforces perceptions of church leaders as rigid and dogmatic.

Religion is based in dogma and expected to be rigid even opposing basic human nature like sex and life. The Torah is very clear that the mother’s life comes before the life of the fetus who is not yet a complete life. The Church maintaining their doctrine of born into sin considers the child, not yet born, more worthy than the mother.

This errant view is based in the religious perception that sex is inherently evil; the Talmud-Book of Metaphor teaches, the free undefined nature of sex makes it a perfect vehicle for the evil inclination–those who believe themselves evil are more pronged to doing evil acts than those who fight their inclination.

The Church whose dogmas can not be questioned perpetuate pedophilia by imposing evil as a state of being when in actuality evil is the action taken. In the case of the nun her natural emotions overcame the dogma and she saved the mother and not the child. The Church’s punishment was more than any pedophile received.

The Church calls the Torah/Teaching a Testament but nothing could be further from the truth. Testament infers dogma whereas Teaching infers questions.

Solar System Symmetry

A European-built spacecraft has used its solar wings as sails to skim through the sweltering atmosphere of Venus at the planet's outermost border with space.

Scientists wonder at the diversity found in the nine planets of our solar system; traditional thinking being that the process of producing planets should have produced similar types of celestial bodies instead of the diverse nature found in our solar system.

According to the Cabala the symmetry of our solar system is a clear reflection from the four spirit worlds arranged according to the Tree of Life–Ten Sefirot/Luminaries divided into three sections corresponding to the human body. The sun and Mercury represent the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

The soul connects with the right side of the brain epitomized by the sun which is never separated from the left as represented by the planet Mercury–Venus is the third eye. It is the light of the third eye which animates the rest of the body–the two lower triangles.

Blue earth corresponds to the attribute of Chesed/Kindness found in the right arm, red Mars the virtue of Gevorah/Severity found in the left arm and the largest planet Jupiter Tefirit/Beauty, a mixture of many colors, the torso; Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are the legs and the sex–all three sport rings.

The Pedophilia Irony

The Catholic bishops have lobbied hard to get Catholic members of Congress to oppose the current health care bill because of language it says could allow some federal funding of abortion.

This seems so ironic given the constant complaints of pedophilia brought against he Church reaching even to Pope in Rome. Why is the unborn child some much more precious than the living?

The Church even goes so far as breaking with the Torah and the ancient Rabbis who understood and wrote clearly in the very beginning of the Talmud-Book of Law that life begins at 41 days. This date is corroborated by scientists as being when the zygote transforms into embryo.

It is at 41 days that the imprint of the YHVH whose four letters arranged vertically makes the stick figure of a human being is imprinted upon the placenta. The Cabala clearly explains how the placenta is formed during the first 40 days from conception to mingle the DNA of the mother and the father then at 41 God delivers the soul–this is Jewish law!

That the Church would rather deny people health coverage than concede the smallest degree is more than ironic. The Torah teaches the middle way is the way of truth as symbolized by Teferit/Beauty the center of Ten Sefirot–the cabalistic atom from which all physical and spiritual take form.

Oldest Moving Life

The earliest animal tracks yet found have been unearthed in Canada where one of the greatest mysteries of history, why 500 hundred millions years ago the sudden appearance of life happened is confounding scientists.

The Hebrew calendar counts from the beginning of the human species on earth–modern humanity which according to the Torah occurred on the Sixth Day of Creation during which time life began on earth; this account differs greatly with science–but there is a way to reconcile the two.

The Torah mentions in the very beginning about the previous world called Tohu/Chaos; the Zohar-Book of Secret portrays how from the center of our solar system came a light which struck the planet Mars precipitating life within the red world. The Zohar also describes how the center of Mars is made of ice (therefore Mars has no magnetic field) surrounded by water–womb of life.

The Cabala explains how Tohu/Mars broke and fell in the form of sparks into our world seeding the earth with life which was then called forth during the six days. It says in the Torah that a thousand years is a day to God and 1000 years would probably been enough time to evolve life from the mud.

Time is tricky but the sudden advent of life is inscrutable. The earth is the center of creation because God’s Will is found here.

The Death Penalty

A ruling by Texas state District Judge Kevin Fine, a tattooed recovering drug addict has ruled that the death penalty is unconstitutional.

Capital punishment as defined in the Torah/Teaching was performed for the sake of the soul and not as an deterrent to crime. Contemporary criminal systems are deterrent based; it is the fear of punishment which provides the incentive to obey the law of the land.

The laws of Torah are much kinder. There were no jail in Israel; people who stole were fined and those unable to pay must enter into servitude to the victim–those who killed were banished to the cities of refuge. Only those who killed with intent in front of witnesses who had warned the person before the offense occurred were executed.

It is said in the Talmud-Book of Law if more than one person was executed in any 70 year period the courts were considered murderers. There were four types of execution carried out by the rabbis untilizing sword, stone, fire and water–all four had to be carried out after the death occurred without pain.

The Cabala explains how the body and soul share the same geometry drawn from the Four Letter Name of God YHVH; when we commit a crime against God’s law we effect the the clarity of our soul.

Plague of Medicine

Norwegians were losing lives to bacteria infection until an aggressive program made it the most infection-free country in the world by cutting back severely on the use of antibiotics.

The Talmud-Book of Law says if we could see the Mazikim/Malicious Sprites we would see them surrounding us everywhere like a wall. We call them germs.

A wise man was once asked why he did not wipe out disease since God would hear his prayers, he answered that one disease would be followed by another. In our modern day doctors think they can outsmart nature, but sickness has more to do with the state of the soul than the state of the body.

Those who understand the workings of creation and the many transmigrations between body and soul let the sickness dictate the outcome; it seems from Norway’s experiment that letting ourselves be sick with the simple sickness is itself preservation from more severe sicknesses.

It is for expedience sake that drugs are implored so we can continue to work at jobs we do not like but are afraid to lose. The natural way of life which the Torah teaches is an combination and interplay between the natural system and the power of prayer–God answers all prayers, but sometimes the answer is no.

The Cabala adds, what is no in this world is yes in the next world.

Giving the Soul

A study commissioned by the National Football League reports that Alzheimer’s disease or similar memory-related diseases appear to have been diagnosed in the league’s former players vastly more often than in the national population.

There is a thing about sports more than watching the perfection of the performers; it is the competitiveness of sports which gives it its edge and those who play the sport do so with the forgone knowledge to the dangers of the sport–it is part of the sport.

In the Torah/Teaching this attribute is called by the term Maserit Nefesh/Giving Soul–relinquishing one’s own life for a higher purpose. Life is not about how long you live but how well you live, what you do in your life.

The soul is attached to the body on a mission from God like a player in a game who is asked to give more than his part–to give the soul, to give up the life. What is the reward for giving up life? There is none because the act causes closeness with God which eradicates all vestige of person or soul.

During Yom Kippur is read the story of the sons of Aaron who brought a strange sacrifice to come closer God and were consumed by the fire.

Life Everywhere

ScienceDaily–A new species of archaebacteria, Pyrococcus CH1, thriving within a temperature range of 80 to 105°C and able to divide itself up to a hydrostatic pressure of 120 Mpa (1000 times higher than the atmospheric pressure), has just been discovered.

Our earth is alive and that is why life thrives in the deepest seemingly most inhospitable environments; the earth is alive and will always be alive because that was and is the decree from the Creator. In the Zohar-Book of Secret explains how the entire solar system is considered the earth and how life abounds on all the seven outer planets beginning with the earth. The great teachers who authored the three sections of the Oral Tradition into books 2000 years ago were fecund with secrets which they planted within the books while the land of Israel lay fallow for 2000 years.

This evening at the burial place in Merron in Northern Israel will gather peoples from all walks of life who will dance around fire all night and celebrate the great teacher and author of the Zohar Rebbe Shimon ben Y’Choi.

At the same time the constant enemy of Israel, the Catholic Church is making their presence felt in the form of the Pope. It is known in the Cabala that when Rome destroyed the Temple they only destroyed the external, but the essence remained and therefore one is able to learn Zohar-Book of Secret even during times of mourning when Torah learning is prohibited.

With a great darkness comes a great light.

The Party of Light

Arlen Specter’s switch to the Democratic Party is a political earthquake that will have far-reaching consequences for a host of policy and political issues.

In the American political arena the major parties Democrat and Republican represent the two diverse perceptions of our country–one from without and with from within. The Republican traditionally looked at the country as a whole that interfaced with the rest of the world, while the Democrats excelled in the demographics of the country looking at the welfare and rights of the individual.

The reason this political system has successfully evolved is because it mirrors creation made of two light called Sovev Kol Olomim/Surrounding Light and Mimulai Kol Olomim/Filling Light--an inner light and a peripheral light.

The inner light nourishes life while the outer light holds creation in the infinite care of the Creator. Whenever human endeavor strives to mirror creation success is inevitable.

The Cabala of Baseball

“Baseball is 90 percent mental and the other half is physical.” Yogi Berra, widely quoted for his Yogi-Isms will throw out the ceremonial first pitch Thursday afternoon to open the new Yankee Stadium.

There are many cabalistic inferences to the game of baseball particularly the arrangement of the nine positions plus the batter which looks like the Ten Seferot known as the Tree of Life and the four bases corresponding to the Four Worlds of creation Atzilot/Close; Briah/Creation; Yitzira/Form; Asiya/Action.

To transverse all the bases is called a home run where you return to where you began; similarly with life—we come from a very pure place and will return to that place after life if our at bat was successful.

Not everyone can hit a home run and most of us depend upon others to knock us in. In heaven there are crowds of people cheering us on throughout our lives, booing when we make mistakes, but holding out hope until the end.

Yogi Berra, who is 83 years old (83 in Hebrew is Paz/Fine Gold personifies the game of baseball, a game which teaches a lot about life; my personal favorite of Yogi’s teachings is, “When you come to the fork in the road, take it.”

$1.1 Trillion for World Crisis

At the Group of 20 summit meeting a call to fight the financial crisis, announced at its conclusion that the leaders had committed to $1.1 trillion in new funds that would greatly increase the capital available to the International Monetary Fund. The goal would be a revival in trade, which is expected to contract this year for the first time in 30 years.

It is said in the Torah/Teaching the greatest charity is giving needed resources to help the disadvantaged achieve independents. In the Cabala 11 is a number relevant to essence—that which is beyond particular; the Ten Sefirot/Luminaries the cabalistic atom as portrayed in the sun and the nine planets, the seven continents and the three oceans and in the form of the human being built upon three pillars distributing three triangles leading to speech are the particulars.

The number 11 shows on the hidden springs of Pleasure and Will the two essential components of life. For those struggling to survive will is essential and every pleasure provides sustenance to continue life feeding the will like a woman feeds a man when he returns home weaken by the toil of life.

It’s in the Numbers

President Obama traveled to Capitol Hill on Wednesday to lobby Democratic lawmakers on his $3.6 trillion budget proposal, ahead of votes in the House and Senate this week.

Thirty-six is a seminal number in Cabala which makes a science out of the interchange between numbers and letters. For example, 36 is twice 18-Chai/Life and twice 36 is 72 known as AB the highest number directly related to God’s Name YHVH. Each letter of the YHVH is giver of life and when combined together gives life to the four different forms of existence: inanimate, growing, animal and human who live within the four elements of fire, air, water and earth in the four directions upon the earth.

During these unsettled days it is appropriate to look for some sort of heavenly indication, a Simon Tov/Good Sign, for reassurance. In the Book of Esther which records the end of the first exile—the king says I will give to you up to half the kingdom. Thirty-six is half seventy-two.

Happy New Year

Iran played down President Barack Obama's new video message to the Iranian people on Friday, saying it welcomed the overtures but warned that decades of mistrust can't easily be erased.

The President called out for understanding based on common human values, but did not remind the Muslim community who continues warring over Israel, that the Jewish New Year is also only a few weeks away. The Torah/Teaching celebrates a new year in each of the four seasons commemorating one of the four life forms. In the fall is the new year for the earth called Rosh HaShana, in the winter the new year for the trees called Tuba Shavot when the sap begins to rise—the essence of water; in the spring the new year for the human being—Passover. In the summer is celebrated the animal and fire.

The human being is commiserate with the element of air because we have the ability to articulate thoughts into coherent speech. The basis of our ability to communicate complex ideas is the foundation of freedom of choice. As God says in the Torah, I place before you life and death, blessings (Barack) and curses have I put before you—chose life so you and your children will live.

The Brine of Mars

Over the last few years gullies have appeared on the surface of Mars; the vast majority of these gullies lie within a zone where supposed salty brine could explain these rapidly forming formations.

The teachings of the Jewish People called Torah/Teaching explains in the very beginning that the previous world was a place called Tohu/Confusion. The Zohar-Book of Secret identifies that place as Mars and further explains how Mars is a world where life forms within the oceans of water within the planet. Mars is called by the ancients Ztia/Dry because of the outward appearance of the red planet; Mars is called by the scientists a broken planet because of the complete lack of a magnetic field similar to earth. According to the Zohar-Book Secret at the core of this planet is ice which is responsible for negligible magnetic protection to hold an atmosphere. The excretions from the life of Mars found in the formations of the gullies and the recently discovered pools of methane gas are strong indicators of life.

According to the Torah/Teaching life evolved first in the waters of Mars which was then transported after 974 generations according to Midrash-Book of Metaphor to the earth in a gush of water responsible for the salty seas; 5769 years ago life was called forth to live upon the surface of this new planet—earth. The Torah is as exacting as any scientific theory; she just speaks a softer language.

ShangChai

NPR Morning Edition, February 11, 2009 • Part of Shanghai's Jewish history is under threat from bulldozers. In the 1930s, Shanghai was the only place in the world to offer visa-free sanctuary to Jews fleeing Nazism — 20,000 ended up in Shanghai.

The Jewish People in Shanghai called the place ShangChai referring to the Chai which means Life as is LaChaim/To Life. Chaim is plural, but Chai is singular and has the number value of 18. When Jewish People give charity it is often in multiples of Chai/18

Life is full of strange incidences, particularly when you are people without a land for 2000 years wondering every place in the earth, making a little impression before moving on. The Cabalists explain since man was ejected from the Garden of Eden in the sixth hour he was destined to wonder the earth for 6000 years picking up the sparks that fell from his actions. The Jewish people are the inheritors of that destiny—ejected from our land by God because our spiritual flame was not strong enough to attract the world, instead sent out to collect the sparks one by one, leaving a little Chai/Life wherever we went.
