CLASS STRUGGLE

A top House Republican Rep. Paul Ryan, accused President Obama of appealing to Americans' fear, envy and anxiety by pushing a new tax rate on people making more than $1 million annually, saying the class warfare path will only hurt the economy. 

In Torah, class structure is of a spiritual natural; Kohen and Levi provided the fulcrum connecting the Jewish people to God – though each is connected independently. Levi is one of the 12 Tribes and Kohen is a part of Levi – the spiritual rich, higher class.

In practicality, Levi, who was prohibited from owning land, sang and played instruments while the Kohen officiated. The Kohen Godel/Great was the richest of all – only he could enter into the Holy of Holies on one day of the year, Yom Kipur/Day of Atonement.

In the Temple there were twelve gates for each of the 12 Tribes to enter, plus an additional gate for those who did know or had converted. In each strata and class there were rich people and established families who acted as safety nets to the rest of the tribe.

The spiritual disparity between the classes is necessary to convey the light between heaven and earth – bringing the Oneness into plurality; the disparity in money that divides classes in America needs to be corrected by bringing the plurality into the Oneness.
