Using organizational skills honed over decades in the opposition underground, Islamists are carving out a place in Libyan postwar politics more rapidly than other former dissidents preparing for a hoped-for future of pluralism.
Religion threatens the world with dogma, the mindless adherence to doctrine; religion has an advantage inherent in the hierarchy of power practiced for centuries – whenever a vacuum occurs religion steps into the breach. Religion portents goodness, but…
There is no word for religion in any of the ancient prophetic languages like Hebrew, Arabic and Sanskrit; religion is a creation of man meant to subvert and undermine the human spirit under the pretext of goodness. Religion puts God into a box.
All of creation are equal before the eyes of the Creator who has no religion and no favorite people; even the Jewish People, the Chosen People, chosen to perform 613 Commandments, are just part of creation. Before God all creation is equal and unique.
Freedom is a component of our uniqueness. Putting the human being into the box of religion reduces the worth of life by placing a separation between God and humanity. God is One; religion is plurality; unity in Libya can happen, but not because of religion.
