THE CROWNING HEAD

The Dallas Mavericks won their first NBA title on Sunday night in a close game (105-95) with the Miami Heat—and on the Heat's home floor.

In the game of baseball there is nine against nine equalling 18; in football there is 11 against 11 equalling 22; in basketball there is five against five equaling ten – in Cabala, 18 is life, 22 the number of Hebrew letters and ten is the tree of life.

These three main games in American culture remain predominant because they fit into a spiritual symmetry each seeking a crown; to be crowned the best relates to the Creator who is crowned King of the World by creation. Ten is the fundamental sum of creation.

The number five is the number of Gevorah/Strength; five separates – the reason for five fingers and five toes on each side of the body. Ten, the last of the Ten Sefirot/Luminaries also known of the Tree of Life, relates to speech – separating the animal from the human being.

Along with the power to articulate thoughts into speech, is the ability to throw an object at a precise point – like a basketball throw a hoop. The final score equalled 200 related to the letter Raish/Head. The Cabala infuses every aspect of life, if we look.
