Many Israelis welcomed the start of the Jewish New Year tonight with optimism even though they have little hope for peace with Palestinians as talks between the two sides remain deadlocked.
The Zohar-Book of Secret speaks about the End of Days when the Tribe of Rueben will return to the land and make war with his neighbors and with the world and win; but, Rueben will not remain because he came for the wrong reason. Reuben was the first of the twelve tribes.
Reuben is mentioned in the Torah as having disturbed his fathers bed, which the Zohar relates to disturbing Jerusalem. But, "Because Reuben is troubled waters he will not remain" – the Zohar quotes the Written Torah's account of the Father, Yaakov's blessing his son Reuben.
Amid all the chaos and anxiety of our times, there is a general premonition that this is a blessing, and the blessing is – it will not remain. Some tyrants practice a violent brutality while other make their mark and destroy the world with the stroke of the pen.

A ROSH HASHANA SOLAR FLARE
A gigantic solar flare, several times larger than the Earth, erupted Saturday producing electromagnetic storms that caused ghostly light shows across the Northern Hemisphere, is growing and shows no immediate signs of quieting down.

RICH LIVE WHILE THE POOR DIE
An explosion of new technologies and treatments for cancer coupled with a rapid rise in cases of the disease world-wide mean cancer care is rapidly becoming unaffordable to many developed countries, oncology experts said today.
Henry Miller described America as, A cancer dragging the world down into a pit of hell. Cancer is a sign of the our times – an explosion of growth beyond what is good for the body. Now with modern day technology, the rich will live and the poor will die.
The rich became rich by pushing the limits of what is good for the world in the same way a person's body becomes sick from too much of a good thing; now, only the rich can afford effective treatment. The gluttony of the rich has endangered the lives of everyone else.
If God was something that money could buy, the rich would live and the poor would die – in our time, technology is god and the technocrats are devils. There is no Hell in Torah; every soul returns to heaven after a lifetime – proud or embarrassed for the life they led.
This pernicious advancement of science and technology with complete disregard to the health and welfare of the general population is a crime against humanity. A sin against God, God can forgive; but, a sin against the world and humanity even God cannot forgive.

SEX IN THE TORAH
A group of women in a violence-plagued area of the Philippines came up with their own weapon to end the fighting -- a sex strike; the women withheld sex from their husbands until they promised to quit fighting.
Torah Law, in opposition to Christian Law that requires the woman to submit to her husband, gives the woman complete control over when she is sexual – man can only be with his woman when she wants. Even more, man is required to wait for woman during sexual intercourse.
Man, unlike woman, is required from the Torah to marry and have children, but women are free; women are not required to marry or to have children – she does so purely from love. The reason for the disparity between man is woman is a result of the previous world.

FASTER THAN LIGHT
One of the very pillars of physics and Einsteinian theory of relativity - that nothing can go faster than the speed of light - was rocked today by findings from one of the world's foremost laboratories.

THE AMERICAN SPRING

America is a country founded on revolution; Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers insisted, revolution be continual if America was to remain free of tyrants. Revolution need not be violent, merely by massing the discontent at the epicenter is enough.
The tyranny of today is melt out by the financial institutions who after almost bankrupting America now want a better business environment; their Republican surrogate is holding the country hostage, demanding less regulations – just what got us into this mess.

PERRY UNCOMPROMISING

SEXUAL PREDATORS
Human rights lawyers and victims of clergy sexual abuse filed a complaint urging the International Criminal Court in The Hague to investigate and prosecute Pope Benedict XVI and three top Vatican officials for crimes against humanity.

POOR IN KNOWING
U.S. poverty rate, 1 in 6, is at the highest level in 52 years; the portion of Americans living in poverty last year rose to the highest level, making 46.2 million people in poverty in the United States.

Republicans look to snatch Wiener's Democrat stronghold in a special congressional election for a heavily Democratic area of New York, sending President Barack Obama an ominous message.
Politics is a dirty mess as portrayed in this contest between the Snatch and the Wiener – sometimes the name just says it all, like Bush, Dick, Colin and Conti who eventually defeated Kerry. Kerry in Hebrew means a Wet Dream. Now, Snatch and Wiener are making news.

RELIGION BANNED
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is under attack for refusing to allow members of the clergy to play a role in the city’s commemoration of the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
Religion, more than any other factor, was the cause of the 9-11 attacks and the subsequent ten years of war. Religious zealots on both sides took a self-righteous stand to obliterate the other; Bush was very close to religion – riding into power on the back of religion.
There is no word for religion in Hebrew, Arabic or Sanskrit; religion is a modern idea, a way to consolidate the masses under one banner – proclaiming a holy war in a world meant for peace. There is nothing holy about religion – the profaners of God.

THE ANTI-SEMITE
Warner Bros. is joining forces with Mel Gibson to develop a movie about the Jewish hero Judah Maccabee, although Gibson was accused of anti-Semitism by a number of Jewish leaders when he released The Passion in 2004.
The Roman adage, To the victor goes the spoils, can be applied to another famous adage, The victor writes the history. In these modern days, history is written on the big screen; the Jews of Hollywood should take revenge by producing the Jewish Story of Jesus – no cross.
The Jewish People have been much maligned by this horrible Christian story with no validity in history, at all; during this 2000 years since Jesus lived not one shred of evidence has been unearthed to corroborate their story or even to show that Jesus ever lived.
Hollywood and the Pope forever exploited one another – Hollywood gets a script and the Pope gets noticed – both know there is no bad publicity, except if you are Jewish. Since being sent into exile by Rome, the Jewish People have been much maligned and ceaselessly denigrated.
Because the Jewish People are a small people, only 15 million after 4000 years, in a world of billions of people, the famous anti-Semites are worrisome. This one, a drunkard and a wife-beater, is always trying to pick a fight with the Jewish People, but it is all just, an act.

NUDITY EXPOSED
San Francisco Supervisor Scott Wiener introduced legislation that would require nudists to put something under their bottoms if they take a seat in public and to cover up when they're in a restaurant.
Only the human being knows the shame of nudity – there are no naked animals; so ingrained into the human psyche is nudity that few cities in the world allow for free bodily expression. The story of the Torah begins with how first man and woman knew they were naked.
Human beings are made with a facility of knowing greater than the animals; the reason why humans are susceptible to pain more than the animal is due to our overabundance of knowing – the more you know, the more you hurt. The human being knows the shame of nudity.

MONEY BECOMING OBSOLETE
Climate change poses a major threat to future peace and security, a senior UN official has warned saying, Climate change would also exponentially increase the scale of natural disasters.
The worth of money is exaggerated far beyond the necessary value to grease the wheels of society; particularly, our paper money backed only by the promise of a nation trillions of dollars in debt. The assumed value of money makes the situation dangerous.
Natural disaster undermines money completely and the more often and severe the calamity, the less money matters. It is better, man should war against nature than against each other. Natural disaster brings humility to the world while money brings arrogance.
The Cabala (Kabbalah) describes the earth as being a living organism whose balance is, as described in the Talmud-Book of Law, Hanging on a thread – the smallest imbalance requires immediate rectification. The Earth is meant to absorb the waste, but the pollution is being poisoned.
The poison in the pollution is hurting our planet. The Midrash-Book of Metaphor says, At first the human being was 120 feet tall but the angels complained saying, The human being produces too much pollution and smells; so God made the human being to be six feet tall.

With nearly 14 million people out of work, and no signs of a vigorous economic recovery on the horizon, the nation must look to leadership in Washington for direction.
The Torah teaches, The greatest charity is to give a person the opportunity to have a job and be self-sufficient. In the time of the Talmud-Book of Law, people had workers who were also slaves; the word Aved means both Slave and Worker. What is the difference?
The laws of slavery are similar to the contracts between modern day employers and workers; the slave holder had to provide sustenance and medical care for the worker's entire family – the worker can not be forced to work, but at a job from their profession.
The word Aved/Worker-Slave is also used in describing service to the Creator – binding ourselves in servitude to the Most High, working constantly to perform the Commandments of the Creator. The Midrash-Book of Metaphor says, God created a work for each individual to love.
Work, spiritual and physical, is a necessity to the human being who is defined by their work. Work give purpose to life; without work freedom and rest would be meaningless. The greatest freedom is to work at what you love – all else, is servitude to the man.

The disparity of wealth in America has caused a rift between generations that is commiserate with the father and mother of a family reaching the far shore at the expense of their children, stranded on the other side of the river. The old are eating up the life of the young.
Poisoning our children is not a Jewish practice because all the ways of the Torah are peace. No one can peacefully leave this world knowing the children's generation will have nothing but debt, sickness, pollution and war. Sadly, the Cabala has nothing to say.

THE STORY OF THE STARS
A faint star in the constellation of Leo has been found to have the lowest amount of elements heavier than helium of all stars yet studied.
The Cabala, the 4000-year-old Jewish mystical tradition, is preoccupied with creation – how creation came to be and the mechanism by which the light pervades the space. According to the Cabala, The planets and the stars come from different sources.
Creation exists within OreAinSof/LightWithoutEnd, an illuminated, unified reflection of the Creator; only within the space carved out for creation is duality found – the stars are the shards from the original engraving. Starlight is tethered to the earth.
The planets derive from the Reshima/Hint then take on thickness once within creation. The difference between the light of the stars and our solar system is the stars are shards but the Sun and nine planets existed within the light prior to creation – like the soul.
Creation is engraved into a Hard Light, OreAinSof/LightWithoutEnd; as the engraving went in, the light went out leaving the space for our solar system populated with a sun, nine planets and accompanying moons – ancient beyond time and place.

THE FIRST MAN
A new study suggests that Homo erectus, a precursor to modern humans, was using advanced toolmaking methods in East Africa 1.8 million years ago, at least 300,000 years earlier than previously thought.
According to the Torah, the human being first appeared on the Earth 6000 years ago – why such a discrepancy in time? Scientific time is based on the assumption that cause and effect can explain the entirety of creation. The Torah sees a plan within the design of creation.
The Torah acknowledges the existence of the building blocks of creation in the beginning description of, The darkness covering the deep, the wind hovering upon the water and light being exuded. In the span of six, 24 hour days, the scene was for the star of creation.
The hundreds of millions of years required to prepare the world for human occupation happened prior to the Six Days of Creation. Each of the six days is an attribute colored with an emotion, each day a prototype for a thousand years of history – 5771 have elapsed.
