Some of the human X chromosome originates from Neanderthals and is found exclusively in people outside Africa, according to an international team of researchers.
In the Torah, the story of the Six Days of Creation culminates with the forming of the first human being – the Adom created male and female. Many of the discoveries about the Neanderthals include androgyny. The cabalists reveal the human being on many levels.
The first human being was divided between heaven and earth. The heavenly human being was made of fire and eventually separated male from female; the earthly human being remained crudely made in a hairy mantle. After 130 years the two merged into modern man.
Scientific time is based on the assumption that carbon 14 has always had a half-life of 5730; according to Torah, life happened much quicker in the beginning of creation, as witnessed by the life-span of the human being to be a thousand years in length.
Scientists only know of one human being who they assume somehow arose from the animals. The Torah views the human being as a composite between the Earth and the Heaven – body and soul. The more soul brought to the Earth the closer the Earth comes to heaven.
