CABALA (KABBALAH) OF POVERTY

One in three Americans is in poverty or just above it; forty-nine percent of the near poor live in the suburbs, nearly half are non-Hispanic white, 18 percent are black, and 26 percent are Latino – 28 percent work full-time, year round.

The Cabala (Kabbalah) explains the Talmudic phrase, The only poverty is of knowing, as the head being disconnected from the body. The body is made of seven beautiful emotions, but without knowing culminating in the head, seeding intention in the heart, chaos ensues.

Of the seven emotions, some are stronger than others; without knowing, the strong rule to the detriment of the more feminine emotions – the feminine is known for her compassion. Without compassion the human being is more animal than human – emotions without meaning.

When a society no longer possesses the wisdom of the past but instead uses catch-phrases meant to invoke emotional responses to problems requiring thought is a sign the heads of our country are disconnected from the body. Greed and arrogance has been the result.

The Cabala (Kabbalah) teaches about the animal soul that hides in the heart and runs through the blood invigorating the body; the erect human being with head above the heart is expected to rule the emotions with good intentions. Truly, poverty stems from the head.
