Sustained changes in the region of the brain associated with cognitive function and emotional control were found in young adult men after one week of playing violent video games.

Hurting the body is temporal because the body will heal then eventually die, but hurting the soul has an eternal affect. The soul is large like a sun connected to the body through a thin line of attenuated light conveyed a long distance, delivering life to the body.
Sight is connected to that lowest level of soul that enters into the body through the right side of the brain from where inspiration stems. The Cabala call this function Chachma/Power of What, the power to question – after fear comes sight then comes questions.
