The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday struck down the Stolen Valor Act, which made it a crime to lie about receiving military medals; by a 6-3 decision, the high court said the right to lie is protected by the First Amendment, free speech.
The Cabala calls our world, Olam D’Shikra/False World because of the inherent lie required to live life – I think therefore I am, the words of Descartes the famous philosopher. If he is thinking about whether or not he exists, then he is not sure – the lie is about portending surety.
The American constitution is based on a lie: All men are created equal; better it should have said, All peoples are created unique – only in our uniqueness are we created equal. So, it is not surprising the courts need to uphold the lie, because everything is based on the lie.
The Torah is referred to as Torat Emet/Teaching of Truth; the truth is very important in the Torah as a way to separate good from bad. There are three stages of separation between husk and seed called: Safat Emet/Lips of Truth; Emet/Truth and Emet Shlametoi/Truth of Truth.
Truth is rewarded in the spiritual world, but in our world the lie is rewarded – seduction, politics and religion are based on the lie. A new light is coming to the world wiping away the lie and everyone will see the truth – and on that day, soon, there will be, Peace on Earth.
