THE CABALA OF WATER

NASA Scientists gather in Santa Clara to ponder life beyond Earth; the growing evidence of wet planets – and its implications in our search for extraterrestrial life – is among the marvels shared in the quest to find life beyond Earth.

On each of the Six Days of Creation, God says, Ki Tov/It is Good, except for the second day when God split the water. The Midrash-Book of Metaphor teaches, God first commanded the water to split but the water did not know how to split, so God split the water into high and low.

The low water cried causing the oceans to become saline while the high waters rejoiced in their purity. Recently, scientists have found water at the very rim of creation as if the the universe is but a big bubble immersed within an ocean of light. Water to God is light to creation.

Before creation only oneness existed; division caused within the one bubble of creation to be many bubbles, but water does not make life – this constant assertion by science that life is a product of luck is detrimental to the human spirit. The greatest hubris is life thinking we created ourselves.

The secret of creation, according to the Cabala, is embedded within the configuration of celestial bodies, each with a purpose; as the Zohar-Book of Secret says, every star in the heavens is connected to the Earth – the place of free will, where the stars are tethered through a line of light.
