Greed Verses Responsibility

The president has promised "the sweeping change that this country demanded when it went to the polls in November.”

The epicenter of the disease eating at America is being confronted head on; the fight between those who have sold their soul for a buck and the rest of us is about to unfold. Though the people of America voted for this change, those unwilling to give up their addiction to money are in opposition to the will of the people. These same people who insisted that we go to war against the will of the world now insist on making war against the President and the people.

In the book Raishith Chochma/Beginning of Wisdom is written that God loves every human being; centuries later when asked how to love God, the Bal Shem Tov replies, by loving what God loves. The Creator loves all of creation. Our responsibility from the very beginning of human history when God told Adom to watch over the Garden of Eden is the nurturing of life no matter the cost.

Three Pillars

President Obama’s new 3.6 trillion dollar budget focuses on three major areas: education, energy and health.

The first time the Oral Tradition was written down 2000 years is in short little statements called Mishna/Teacher the basis for the Talmud-Book of Law. In the Mishna is stated, the world stands on three pillars: Torah/Teaching, Avoda/Service and Gimal Chasidim/Giving Kindness. Service is on the left and is the element of fire burning away the exterior bringing out the essence; Kindness is on the right, the element of water perpetuating growth; Teaching is in the center, the element of air and speech.

Education, energy and health are valid reflections of these three pillars upon which the world stands. The Cabala points out that one is a point, two is a line and three is a triangle—that’s when things begin to come together. Also, the number 36 is twice Chai/18/Life.

Marijuana and Money

San Francisco, CA (AP)— A state legislator is reviving the debate about legalizing marijuana as a way of raising money for cash-strapped state and local governments.

It is amazing how fast morals change when money is evolved; the ban on marijuana itself is illegal and placing good citizens in jail for the crime of growing and possession is cruel and unusual punishment. The cost of marijuana is already exorbitant because of the dangers involved in growing the plant against the wishes of the government, but the cost will get even higher if a $50 tax per ounce is applied. The same government which has been trying to eradicate the plant and the people who use it is now willing to make it legal as long as they get their cut—no thanks.

The Torah counts cannabis as one the eleven spices burned to God in the Temple, noting the plant’s good fragrance; the Cabala adds that fragrance is the highest of our senses connected to the third eye—the place of knowing. The gematria of Smoke/Ahsun is 420, the present price for an ounce of good herb.

The President and the New Moon

President Barack Obama spoke to the joint houses of Congress, the American People and the world last night at the advent of the New Moon.

The month of Adar in the Hebrew calendar coincides with the beginning of spring; according to the Talmud-Book of Law when the month of Adar begins happiness increases. The new moon of each month is considered a holiday because it is a time of transition called Maled/Birthing when the moon is completely without light. In the birth process the most difficult part of the birth is called transition. All transitions are difficult, but with the proper guidance the needed process can happen without much trauma.

This propitious time of the new month was utilized by the president to address the inhabitance of the world announcing spring is on the way. In the Hebrew calendar which is regulated by the moon, there are four New Years one for each season; in the fall is the New Year for the earth called Rosh HaShana, the winter and summer celebrate the new year for the trees-water and the New Year for the animal-fire in the summer. The New Year for the human-air (speakers) happens in the spring and celebrates freedom.

The Lips of Woman

Morning Edition, February 24, 2009: On Fat Tuesday, there's news of the slimmest costume ever in Rio de Janeiro's Carnival parade. A samba dancer managed to dance along the Brazilian route clad only in a glittery silver headdress, silver arm bands and a G-string measuring barely an inch wide. Before, the thinnest G-string on a samba dancer was 1 1/2 inches.

The letter Hey/5 in the Hebrew alphabet signifies woman; the letter looks like a house with a window: h. The three straight lines that make up the letter Hey/5 form two spaces called in Cabala, the lips above and the lips below. Sex, according to Chaim Vital author of the Cabala, takes place between two kisses—the kiss above and the kiss below. Lips signify speech—the outer expression of our deepest aspirations articulated into space. Though male and female share traits, only woman gives birth from the lips below, bring forth a new generation in the space of the world.

The covering of the lips is an ancient rite of modesty.

The Rape of Children

(CBS/AP)The FBI has completed a sweep in major cities around the U.S., rescuing 48 teenage girls - some as young as 13 - whom the agency says were forced into prostitution.

The Torah which commands the Jewish People to observe the 613 Commandments also recognized the Seven Commandments of Noah given to the rest of the inhabitants of the world. One of these seven commandments has to do with safeguarding children through the enactment of laws regarding sexuality. The commandment does not specify the law only requires the human being living together to construct a boundary around sexual behavior.

It is well known that the Cabala was restricted by the Rabbis because of the abundant amount of sexual material, explicit explanations and descriptions contained in the words describing creation of the universe. The Rabbis were afraid those able to read the text would suffer from improper thoughts, instead the knowledge was hidden and as a result the human being, lacking essential spiritual knowledge of sexuality acts more like an animal than a human.

The Jewish People were given the Torah to be lights unto the nations; the more the Rabbis hide the knowledge, the more darkness descends on the world.

The Oscars

VOA News: The film industry's biggest stars have gathered in Hollywood for the 81st annual Academy Awards ceremony, recognizing the year's top movies and movie makers.

In Hebrew Oscar translates as And Reward and certainly the fulfillment of a dream is the ultimate reward. The Talmud-Book of Law discussing the making of a vessel concludes by saying, until Maca Bpatish/Final Hit with Hammer the vessel is not yet finished. The great honor of the Oscars is the tribute to the finish work which when given an Oscar is like the last hit of the hammer which concludes a segment of an actor’s career.

Reward in Torah is not considered a goal, but rather a stamp of approval meant to encourage further work. The stamp of the Creator is the word Emet/Truth spelled with the first, middle and last letter of the Hebrew alphabet as if to say, all is true.

Diligent digging into what is true produces the inspiration from where art flows.

Pig in Israel

In the final stretch of this month's Israeli election Rabbi Ovadia Yosef of the ultra-Orthodox Shas party charged Avigdor Lieberman of the secular Yisrael Beiteinu party with denigrating Israeli society by selling pork, and said “Whoever does so supports Satan and the evil inclination."

It is interesting that in the news the part about the evil inclination was left out leaving the reader to assume some hellish reference to the Judeo-Christian myth. There is no Hell in the Torah and Satan/Opposition is an angel who comes to stand against— sometimes for the good of the person. The evil inclination is a power created by God with tentacles in each human being from the time of birth tempting us to do wrong against God so freedom of choice can exist.

The pig is identified in the Torah as being the only animal in the world with the outer sign of a kosher mammal, cloven hooves while missing the inner sign of multiple stomachs. The Talmud-Book of Law says the pig is the sign of a hypocrite showing kosher, but being within not kosher.

By leaving off the part about the Evil Inclination the Rabbi’s words were skewed into a different meaning—what was said is not what was meant.

The Right of the Right

Israel is poised for its most right-wing government in decades after Binyamin Netanyahu was asked to be the country's next Prime Minister.

The name Binyamin comes from the Torah/Teaching where is related how the 12 Tribes of the Jewish People came into existence from the 12 children of Yisroel/Israel. Binyamin was the 12th child born as his mother Rachel was about to pass away; she called her new son Ben Oni/Son of my Sorrow, but his father changed the name to Benyamin/Son of the Right.

In the Cabala the right is commiserate with kindness and the left with severity, but on the ground the opposite is true—the right is severe and the left is liberal and kind. Benyamin was the younger brother of Yoseph who was sold into slavery by his ten brothers; the ten brothers were praised because they did not hide their feeling saying one thing with their mouths while harboring another intention with their hearts.

Politics in general and Israeli politics in particular is a well-worn discipline of deception. It is hard to know in Israel what is right.

Wrong Man for the Job

Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, visited Gaza on Thursday.

After Bush and Dick, Kerry whose name translates in Hebrew as Wet Dream is certainly the wrong man to be going into the orifice of war looking for information.

It is well known that the Cabala was forbidden to the Jewish People by the Rabbis because of the sexual language used to express esoteric ideas. According to the Cabala creation happened when a beam of light entered into an empty space—the line and the circle—which has imbued creation throughout with Zivigum/Intercourse.

It is also well known the concept of Leumi Zeh/Mirror Opposite—whatever there is in holiness exists also in the mundane as in Bush, Dick and Kerry.

Three Headlines

Automakers Seek $14 Billion More in Aid; U.S. Accuses Texas Financial Firm of $8 Billion Fraud; Putting Stamp on Afghan War, Obama Will Send 17,000 Troops

The number 14 in Hebrew translates as the word Yad/Hand—a helping hand for the automakers; the number eight is representative of infinity but also chaos—guess it could be said that their number was up; lastly, the number 17 is the gematria of Tov/Good and there is little doubt that sending more troops will be good for stability the country of Afghanistan.

The three numbers together total 39; there are 39 restrictions in the Torah and 39 hits that can be given in punishment, but no more. Also, according to the rules of the Cabala an additional number can be added to reach the number forty which is a number associated with the completion of punishment as in the forty days and night of rain to cause the flood.

These numbers independently and collectively give hope to the future by fulfilling the terms of punishment—failure, fraud and war—for the inexcusable excesses perpetrated on the American People by greedy entrepreneurs in coalition with power-hungry politicians.

TashPaz

President Obama is traveling today to Denver, where he is set to sign the $787-billion stimulus package

The numbers 787 translated into Hebrew letters reads TashPaz; Tash means weak and Paz is a type of find gold. Gold though heavy is not hard; gold is easily malleable and does not erode or oxidize thus utilized for art. Since this metal is easily recognizable and somewhat rare it has been used since antiquity as the coin of the realm. Paz/Fine Gold is without the natural impurities and thus worth even more than ordinary gold.

TashPaz/Weak Gold indicates that gold alone cannot fix the problems of America and the world without the wisdom and honestly to administer the money properly. We have come a long way since “It’s the economy stupid” until the present time when “It’s a stupid economy, stupid.”

It is the human being who must be serviced by the economy and not the other way around.

The Brine of Mars

Over the last few years gullies have appeared on the surface of Mars; the vast majority of these gullies lie within a zone where supposed salty brine could explain these rapidly forming formations.

The teachings of the Jewish People called Torah/Teaching explains in the very beginning that the previous world was a place called Tohu/Confusion. The Zohar-Book of Secret identifies that place as Mars and further explains how Mars is a world where life forms within the oceans of water within the planet. Mars is called by the ancients Ztia/Dry because of the outward appearance of the red planet; Mars is called by the scientists a broken planet because of the complete lack of a magnetic field similar to earth. According to the Zohar-Book Secret at the core of this planet is ice which is responsible for negligible magnetic protection to hold an atmosphere. The excretions from the life of Mars found in the formations of the gullies and the recently discovered pools of methane gas are strong indicators of life.

According to the Torah/Teaching life evolved first in the waters of Mars which was then transported after 974 generations according to Midrash-Book of Metaphor to the earth in a gush of water responsible for the salty seas; 5769 years ago life was called forth to live upon the surface of this new planet—earth. The Torah is as exacting as any scientific theory; she just speaks a softer language.

Israeli Elections

The recent results of the Israeli elections are well suited for a combined centralist party. The Rambam writes 800 years ago in his seminal work Yad HaChazaka/Strong Hand a compilation of the 613 Commandments written throughout the first five books of the Torah known a Chumash/Five that one should strive always to go in the middle way. Yet, the Rambam cautions even in the middle way one should go in the middle way—meaning, not to be dogmatic because at times the extremes are valuable.

The Torah/Teaching is often compared to the Tree of Life; Torah is rooted in the truth therefore can reach to the furthest extremities. The Cabala teaches that nothing can exist without the spark of God giving life—even inhumane extremes. Through the middle extremes are mollified and in the end severity is sweetened.

Steroids

It says in the Talmud-Book of Law that one can not do a good deed through a bad deed—we should not steal to do charity. When a person at the top breaks a rule it is a huge thing because of the rarified atmosphere where they exist. These frontrunners are the front bird flying in a V; the one at the front is the best of them all, but the front bird also has a purpose—to break the force of the air rushing towards the flock. It is the bravery and the strength of the front bird to lead the flock, but when the front bird falters another takes the place.

Whether it is steroids, bribes, power or indiscreet behavior, we require those at the top to be perfect. Those who composed the great works of the Oral Torah 2000 years ago: the Talmud-Book of Law, the Midrash-Book of Metaphor and the Zohar-Book of Secret held themselves to the highest degree of self-abnegation and yet stories abound in these books about how the Rabbis made mistakes. Perhaps the lesson is even in the essence of one’s being, the desire to excel, is riddled with difficulty.

G7 in Rome

The Empire of Rome has six heads: the Coin of Rome; the Sword of Rome; the Technology of Rome; the Religion of Rome; the Government of Rome; and the Road to Rome. There are six days in the week fashioned upon the Six Days of Creation and the Seventh Day being the Day of Rest—the Shabbat. Therefore the G-7 meeting in Rome has deep cabalistic significance.

The Talmud-Book of Law refers to the exile of the Jewish People as being the exile of Rome also known as Edom/Red indicating severity. The Jewish People are intrinsically tied to Rome through Esau twin brother of Yaakov progenitor of the Twelve Tribes of Yisroel. In the blessing given to these twins is the prophetic statement: as one rises the other brother will fall. In the end, the lion will lay down with the lamb.

The G-7, seven indicating the Day of Rest, meeting in Rome, perhaps is a sign that Rome is getting ready to lay down with the lamb instead of lying to the lamb.

Lincoln and Darwin

Abraham Lincoln in America and Charles Darwin in England were both born on the same day and in the same year February 12, 1809; both men were instrumental in freeing the human being from slavery—one from the slavery of the body and the other from the slavery of dogma.

At the same time in Russia a new spiritual movement was beginning based on the works of the Bal Shem Tov an early Jewish mystic; the purpose of this new movement was to bring the secrets of the Torah to the simple people. Seven generations, 200 years have passed since that time when freedom was born destined to release the body, the mind and the soul.

It is obvious that the body and the mind have been set free to evolve, but how about the spirit? The Zohar-Book of Secret was written 2000 years ago, but was not interpreted until the Cabala 500 years ago brought the key to the Zohar. This new movement called Chasidot/Kindnesses has put the key into the lock for the simple people, but for seven generations no one has yet dared to turn the key.

ShangChai

NPR Morning Edition, February 11, 2009 • Part of Shanghai's Jewish history is under threat from bulldozers. In the 1930s, Shanghai was the only place in the world to offer visa-free sanctuary to Jews fleeing Nazism — 20,000 ended up in Shanghai.

The Jewish People in Shanghai called the place ShangChai referring to the Chai which means Life as is LaChaim/To Life. Chaim is plural, but Chai is singular and has the number value of 18. When Jewish People give charity it is often in multiples of Chai/18

Life is full of strange incidences, particularly when you are people without a land for 2000 years wondering every place in the earth, making a little impression before moving on. The Cabalists explain since man was ejected from the Garden of Eden in the sixth hour he was destined to wonder the earth for 6000 years picking up the sparks that fell from his actions. The Jewish people are the inheritors of that destiny—ejected from our land by God because our spiritual flame was not strong enough to attract the world, instead sent out to collect the sparks one by one, leaving a little Chai/Life wherever we went.

Ya Don’t Need a Weatherman

In Jerusalem Israelis braved 42 degree weather, lashing hail and 29 mph winds today to cast their ballots in a crucial general election expected to shift the country sharply to the right.

The number 42 is connected to the previous world called Tohu/Chaos—Clinton was the 42nd president; there are 24 books in the Written Torah and five Migilot/Scrolls making 29—hail was one of the Ten Plagues God brought upon Egypt to free the Jewish People. When the Pope came to Israel in 1999 as he was walking down the transit from the plane to the ground a wind came up and blew off his head covering symbolizing fear of God.

God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth speaks through the elements in the happenstance of time to those whose eyes are open to see and whose ears can hear and understand.

Israel Goes to the Polls

Once a group of men were standing about talking politics when a horse pulling a wagon came to a stop as a wheel divided a freshly placed pile of manure evoking the following comment—there you have politics: the left, the right and the middle of the road. Politics in Israel is a matter of survival and when that survival is being threatened the country inevitably votes with the right wing that is strong on defense.

The land of Israel, the Holy Land, was never meant to be political; it was Dovid the poet-king who 3000 years ago replaced the sitting king Shaul because of his politics. Dovid’s dynasty lasts until today and even King Moshiach must be from the line of Dovid. Dovid admitted to God and submitted to the Law of the Torah.

The Land of Israel was not given to the Jewish People to erect a state, but to do the 613 Commandments as outlined in the Torah which can only be accomplished completely by living in peace on the Promised Land.

New Years Coincide

Today, the full moon represents the conclusion of the celebration for the Chinese New Year with parades and dragons and best wishes for the year of the Ox. Coinciding with this completion of the New Year is the Jewish New Year of the Trees called Tuba Shavat—the full moon in the winter month called Shavat.

The Cabalists often quote from the Torah, Aitz Chaim Ho/Man Tree of Life; the Tree of Life represents the Ten Siferot/Luminaries arranged like a tree rooted in the ground. In the Torah there is a story when the Children of Yisroel in the Wilderness came to a place where there was water but, the water was bitter. God told Moshe to throw a tree into the water and it became sweet—from this is learned if one seeps at the Torah it is bitter, but throw yourself in and it is sweet.

Work

In a bleak report on Friday, the Labor Department said that almost 600,000 jobs disappeared in January.

Change happens through difficulty. Work in Hebrew is Avoda, an Eved is a slave and the spiritual work in the physical world is also called Avoda along with the work done in Temple by the Cohanim—the holiest of the Jewish People. The jobs being lost are the jobs least needed by society so new jobs can be created; all transitions are difficult; when a women is about to give birth it is called transition.

There are 600,000 letters in the Torah and there are 600,000 Jewish Souls that make up the singular Jewish Soul as taught in the Cabala. 600,000 is a lot, but it indicates the shifting of the American Soul in a new direction. Everything is about work.

Woman Judge

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the only woman on the Supreme Court, had surgery Thursday for early stage pancreatic cancer, the Supreme Court announced.

Although there are notable exception woman are not considered appropriate judges within the Law of the Torah because they have breasts. The nipple is the sign of compassion which both men and woman possess even though its utility is lost on men; the breast is patently woman as if to say a woman has an overabundance of compassion and therefore would not be able to administer justice which requires strict adherence to the Law. Breasts in Hebrew is Shadiam from the word Shadai the Name of God from the word Di/Enough.

God said to creation Di/Enough to form the perimeter of creation called the Gilgilot/Skull; the Name Shadai has a gemartria of 314 the first three numbers of pi found throughout creation. A woman’s breasts are called Shadiam because there is always enough milk in the breast for the child.

Compassion is the highest form of human being not to be diminished from the high court.

Speed and Smack

A new study from the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California suggests that methamphetamine takes an economic toll nearly as great as heroin and possibly more.

Heroin has the affect of dulling pain while methamphetamine or speed, like cocaine, induces an energetic euphoria—both take a clear toll on the body which innately injures the soul. The cure to this dangerous epidemic is charity because charity mollifies extreme situations as does love and understanding when freely given.

In the Torah/Teaching charity is known as HaMitzvah/The Commandment; the word for charity is Ztadeka from the world Ztedic/Righteous. The inner source of charity is compassion. The fact that these harmful drugs are taking such a serious toll on society is indicative of a lack of compassion during difficult times.

The Kosher Pig

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Vatican Secretariat of State said that Bishop Williamson “must absolutely, unequivocally and publicly distance himself from his positions on the Shoah.”

Anti-Semitism is a crime against the Semitic People—Arab and Jewish; one of the many commonalities between these two peoples is their complete rejection and abhorrence of the pig—the pig is not eaten, nor is it raised or used at all for anything.

In the Middle book of the Written Torah ViYikra/And Called is written that there is only one animal in the world that has the outer sign of a kosher, cloven hooves, but not the inner sign of multiple stomachs. The Talmud-Book of Law connects the attributes of the pig with that of the hypocrite—one who says one thing with his mouth, but harbors another emotion in his heart. In Hebrew the pig is called Chazir/Return; the Cabala teaches that in the end even the pig will return to become kosher.

Entanglement

Quantum teleportation depends on entanglement, one of the strangest of the many strange aspects of quantum mechanics. Two particles can become “entangled” into a single entity, and a change in one instantaneously changes the other even if it is far away.

The Talmud-Book of Law states that if two people are walking upon different roads that lead to the same destination and one road is defiled while the other is not—both are consider pure if there is the entanglement of doubt. In Jewish Law when you are unsure which is the right road you are innocent because of doubt and the indiscretion is called Shogag/Accidental.

The Cabala describes the human being as Adom (Aleph/1, Daled/4; Mem/40); the letters of Adom are separated into the Aleph/1, corresponding to the soul which is invested in the Daled/4-Mem/40 that makes the word Dom/Blood.

Barack Obama is the 44th President together with the 111th Congress which represents the Aleph/1 which when spelled out Aleph-Lamed-Pey has a gematria of 111.

Middle East Consensus

The only real consensus about the Middle East comes from the previous heads of state, Carter, Clinton, Bush and Blair all who are pushing to divide Israel in two—a Jewish and Palestinian State. Their vision of peace is clouded with politics, lies and exploitations and their solution is antithetical to what is written in the Torah and the Koran.

Eretz Yisroel/Land of Israel is different from other lands in the world in that many of the 613 Commandments to the Jewish People can only be accomplished on the land, like letting the land rest every seven years or not eating from the fruit of a tree for the first three years.

Holiness throughout the world is connected with the idea of One—One God, One People and the unity that comes about through true peace. There is a solution to the Jewish-Arab crisis in the Holy Land and it is called brotherhood between the only two Semitic Peoples in the world—Arab and Jewish. We need not go back to the 1967 borders, but back to the system and wisdom of the Torah and the Koran.

Super Bowl

Will Sunday be Kurt Warner’s last game? “In the back of your mind, this could be a perfect scenario to leave the game,” he said, adding, “I’m going to step back and I’m going to pray about it and God’s going to show me if he wants me to continue in this game, if he’s got more for me to accomplish or some other calling.”

This exclusively male game is reflected in the turn of speech calling God “he.” The Creator of heaven and earth is no more “he” than “she,” but the Rambam, who 1000 years ago compiled the definitive law regarding the 613 Commandments, writes concerning a child or one who is unable to comprehend the ethereal truths that make up reality it is permissible to teach them that God is an old man with a beard.

The Midrash-Book of Metaphor says answering the question, why did God create the world, responds that God wanted a dwelling place in low. To God who is beyond physical or spiritual time and space is low, but football is really low—bunch of grown men hitting each other as hard as they can to try to get the ball; where men dress up in tight pants slapping each other on the ass, piling on, tight ends, trying to get penetration—God will surely be there; he wouldn’t miss sitting there on his heavenly throne with a beer.
